Wouldn't problems for miners not related to silver price be very bullish for silver?
Bidong could close all mines in US and prevent American companies from starting operations offshore. That would collapse supply and moonshoot silver to at least 50$.

Miners are leveraged to the prices of gold and silver. If those prices are not moving, then miners will do, at best, nothing (unless they release positive news), or decline in value. What is happening right now to miners should just be ignored. It is irrelevant as gold and silvers prices are staying largely stationary. You can use this time to wisely buy more shares of companies you’ve discovered to be high-quality, or just hold the positions you own.

That's what was done with 1915 Austrian gold ducats. These are still made today, and still show the year 1915 on them. I understand this is how some evaded FDR's confiscation.

I think it depends how confident you are in your picks, and if you want to buy riskier or less risky companies. Hypothetically if you were 100% sure in a micro cap it would probably make sense to all in on it, but if you're not spreading your risk around probably makes sense. How much to spread is probably more a risk tolerance question and I bit of opportunity cost, I'm personally around $1000-2000 a miner.

If your goal is returns over a shortish timespan physical is probably a bad idea, as you're paying a premium for holding a physical asset vs paper. its more or less a more extreme version of keeping your money in your matress instead of in a bank or in stocks for example. Many dealers will buy back coins, but I would expect to get back more or less spot. To me it's more of a hedge against various risks or fears than something that is likely to increase in value due to commercial demand increasing. For example, if you expected hyperinflation, or increase worry over hyperinflation, gold would be attractive as it has a more fixed value.

Generally speaking you will pay less per ounce for larger sizes (100 oz vs 10 oz). Larger amounts are probably going to be harder to sell, making 1oz increments a popular in between for gold and silver.

Graeme O'Neill, the Company's CEO states, "Now that we have secured an offtake for our silver concentrate with a reliable partner, we are carrying out a drilling and exploration program to improve the quality and quantity of mineralization at our Bayhorse mine. We look forward very much to a continued and longer term relationship with Ocean. With silver prices currently trading above US$25 per ounce, and with analysts calling for higher silver prices in the coming months, we believe that quickly fulfilling and getting paid for the initial shipment of 15 full container loads of silver/copper concentrate, can only benefit the Company. Silver concentrate shipments should rapidly increase following the initial shipment."

welp, there's the potential for variable losses, or reduced/limited increases in value due to fluctuations in premiums, spot price, supply/demand, industry regulations, other market conditions, etc.

so you have to make a judgement what's right for you. if you only care about the metal content and purity, that at least simplifies things alot compared to the rest of us who have an affinity for certain designs, historical interest, whatever

just go look for the best sales on the sites listed in the op or check you LCS.

look at the historical price chart for gold and silver to get an idea the potential ups and downs in value.

Yeah gold is gold, don't worry about the design too much. I'll just tell you to get the cheapest bullion you can though many would tell you to buy something universally recognizable like American Golden Eagles, Kangaroos, Maple Leaves, Britannias or Krugerrands. Also: don't buy from mints, they're more expensive than bullion dealers to my knowledge at least. Buy from local coin stores if you're a burger, or from online bullion dealers some of which are listed in the OP

this was at a big name, big local bullion, coin store. they were the best offer i could get. i had checked with multiple other local buyers and they were all only offering below spot by a good 15%

so i was lucky to get spot

my impression was they didn't care what kind of coins they were and didn't care they were in pristine BU condition. they weren't special dates or mint marks so it was just bullion to them. burst my bubble because I had naively expected since my coins were in such nice condition i would have got a little more than spot

Think about it, the Haitian Government hired out a private mint in Conneticut to make their new completely debased coinage, and the minters stuck the head of the President Pierre Nord Alexis on there looking like an ape to humiliate him and make black Haitians feel bad about being niggers. >Should I buy Gold related ETFs instead of physical?
depends on what you're buying the gold for. The name of the game for precious metal investment is to keep premiums low, and normal PM ETFs are structured so that premiums will be low. The big well-known ETFs like GLD or GLDM are fine, read the prospectus to see how investment blocks are created/destroyed if you're curious. Stay away from leveraged ETFs (like 2X) because they're not designed for long term investing and you can lose your shirt.

If you're buying PMs because you think the entire financial system is corrupt and anything not made out of metal is funny money, then ETFs are not going to work for you, so buy low-premium bullion from well-known producers and mints to minimize your risk when it comes time to sell. Unloading precious metals is usually as easy as buying it, but if you need to sell in a pinch it'll help if people have heard of the producer of your metal.

I don’t know about you all... but because of Corona this is the first time since college that I’ve felt alive. I have lots of silver and been waiting for something like this to happen for 5 years. The point where things get so bad that 1 silver merc dime will buy me a blowjob from a formerly well to do housewife and her 18 year old daughter at the same time. I’ve been waiting in the shadows laughing at these cuck husbands who buy their wives range rovers instead of buying silver bullion... knowing that I’ll be face fucking their wives mouths for the 1.30$ it cost me to buy that silver dime.

Just yesterday at Whole Foods I seamlessly entered into conversation about Corona with a roastie milf that had a ring on her finger in the water aisle... and I said this is all a cover for trump to bring us back on a gold standard. She started looking at me in amazement like she wanted me to paint her lips in cum. Unreasonably paranoid. There won't be a sudden collapse, but a slow decline, the same as has been going on for decades. Having some degree of preparation and self-sufficiency is important from a fulfillment and security perspective, but not from an apocalyptic one.

I'm stacking gold and silver and betting on miners, but only because I expect spot price to spike like it did in the late 70s and after 2008, then go back down again. My physical stash is for my family and likely won't ever be sold. The miners will.

Of course, there are other considerations, such as properties owned, jurisdictional risk, debt, cash on hand, management's previous track record, share float, shareholder sentiment (CEO.CA). If you find this overwhelming, there are ETF's that allow you to invest in broad indexes of large, high-quality mining companies: GDX for gold miners, SIL for silver miners.

No.
Truthfully I'm not in Gold for the investment, I'm in Gold for if I need to flee the country and take my wealth with me during the collapse. The price for the boat ride out of Vietnam was 1 ozt. of Gold. I imagine things will be similar here when things fall apart.

They do indeed exist, there called an XRF gun. You hold the device against the sample and it will give you a very basic assay of whats in it from the surface. There great for scanning outcrops in the bush, but their rather expensive and bulky.
