Liquidity Mining rewards are slated to be released within soon (think: this week). Once those go live, liquidity providers get an insane APY, which will cause liquidity to go up. When liquidity goes up, volume will go up, which will create more trading fees for liquidity providers. This will create a virtuous cycle of higher liquidity > higher volume > higher trading fees for LPs > higher incentive for LPs add liquidity to Bancor > higher liquidity, etcetera, etcetera.

There is no reason for LPs to keep providing liquidity on Sushiswap or Uniswap while getting rekt by impermanent loss when they could be getting impermanent loss protection + liquidity mining rewards on Bancor. Bancor is the superior DEX for liquidity providers in every regard.

Bancor's TVL will skyrocket even further than it already has, see pic related. Mark my words, once the liquidity mining rewards go live, we will see an absolutely massive migration of LPs from Sushiswap and Uniswap to Bancor. Get in or get left behind.

the arguement would be bancor was an idea way ahead of its time.
eg..from the whitepaper...

"Bancor is a Decentralized Liquidity Network that allows you to hold any Ethereum token and convert it to any other token in the network, with no counter party, at an automatically calculated price, using a simple web wallet."
If that sounds like uniswap to you, you would be right. They had the idea in 2017, they just failed to execute. This is probably mostly because the fucking ICO took in 150 million dollars in eth(then when eth was like 300). and then were so fucking rich nothing mattered.
UNISWAP then went ahead and actually did what bancor said they would do and in a very short amount of time became the standard. But uni is a fucking shitshow of scams and fees where everyone is getting fucked.
bancor finally delivered, and the fixed IL when they did it. bancor should be the winner, i think as time wheres on, it will be.

Create a Coinbase account, buy BNT, send BNT to an online wallet (I recommend MetaMask), connect wallet to app.bancor.network, stake BNT. Liquidity mining rewards, i.e. they're paying you BNT to come provide liquidity on Bancor, similar to what Sushiswap and Uniswap did during the DeFi summer of 2020. Remember what happened to the TVL of those projects when they started their liquidity mining programs?

>Do I get 15.34% LINK or BNT per year?
Liquidity mining is paid out in BNT, the trading fees are paid in whichever token you're LPing. So if you LP your LINK, you will get an 1.61% APR paid out in LINK, plus 15.34% APR paid out in BNT.

>For weeks big players have been slowly transferring their wealth Into their new asset: Bancor. When accumulation finishes (look for a pump in Bancor) Uniswap and Sushiswap will be abandoned

Yes anon. It has begun. But you're still early. Bancor the god tier AMM that has ended impermanent loss, enabled single asset staking and increased TVL 1,000% in just over a month (now at over $200M) is reaching the point of critical mass where all of those locked funds, including nearly 60% of BNT supply, and increased adoption of their system, and thus increased need and use of BNT, is leading to immense price pressure that will push BNT to new all time highs. The first major catalyst for the pump will be triggered by the bullish unlocking of BNT rewards which is almost certainly happening this week. When all of those stakers receive their BNT rewards and inevitably lock them back into the protocol's pools due to the insane APYs, even more price pressure will be placed on the token. To top it off, Bancor is also building crosschain to Polkadot and other chains and also building on L2 using Arbitrum. There are also major institutional investors piling in to BNT and shilling it all over Twitter like the Winklevoss twins, Novogratz, Draper and others. This is the DeFi blue chip that the elites have chosen as their pump of choice. Why? Because Bancor BNT is the original god tier AMM and has functions that no other AMM is capable of developing and they all know that Bancor will beat Uniswap, and all other copy cats with higher TVL and higher token price. BNT supply is incredibly scarce compared to UNI and Sushi. There's only so much available. With 60% locked in pools and increased demand + bullish unlocking and restakings + L2 Arbitrum + DOT bridge this token is set to explode. Don't buy it though if you hate money.

I’ve been saying it for fucking months now. I’ve 62k link staked since it went live + 45k bnt staked.

Il coverage + swap fees + liquidity mining.

Also, another site is that bnt will also get massively increased share of the fees per pool AND rewards for voting in governance. Bancor made the amm, and uniswap just copied it. Bancor decided to fix impermanent loss, and NOT SHARE THE CODE THIS TIME, and now uni and the other dexes are stuck with their thumbs in their asses saying “my impermanent loss can’t technically be solved, only mitigates”

Alpha move. Stay poor fag.>>26582510

a scam? this is on coinbase (so obviously heavily vetted), you can see the audit, transparency of TVL, of how the protocol works. Have fun losing your money with Uniswap (forked BNT i.e. copied) or Sushiswap (forked Uniswap). High IQ knows where the value is...low IQ 'it's a scam!' keks wondering why they are poor.

The high APY you see is part of a liquidity mining program. This means that BNT gets printed to reward participation in the protocol while inflating away non-participating BNT holders, similar to Synthetix' model. The lower APR you see (1.48% on LINK/BNT currently) is the one that is generated by the 0.10% trading fees.

>they only reward the 12 largest pools?
yes, but BNT holders can create proposals to award liquidity mining rewards to other pools through Bancor Governance

>what exactly happens after the 12 week cycle that it's counting down?
the liquidity mining program will last until like 2022, so the 12 week cycle will in all likelihood be extended for all the pools with the highest volume

>> No.26597578

>>26597258
Pretty sure you can use their token to vote on continued rewards for pools. Current Max of something like 72 weeks. They need to get 1 billion TVL to steal significant trading volume from other Dex's over that 72 weeks to remain "competitive" in trading fee apy's...

>> No.26598012

Bancor already destroyed the ico investors and it's going to be hacked now that it is getting traction. Of course sushiswap is also a hacked contract piece of shit, there is one account that has already gotten ten million dollars out of sushi.

I have 10k LINK staked from yesterday. I'm not entirely confident that increased liquidity guarantees increased volume. But I'm still bullish for the next few months.

I should have staked more (80k LINK stack) but this is my first time playing with DeFi so I didn't want to risk everything.

Btw, the 10kLINK I have staked made me 0.6LINK in 24hours. I'm really hoping for better averaged returns over the next few months. Without liquidity mining this is just not worth it.

Also, LM only applies to protected stake. Takes 100 days for 100% protection. LINKs 12 week LM cycle concludes in 12 days according to the UI. So I'm due to receive basically fuck all in rewards.

How is this supposed to attract new LPs?

Yeah, there's 82 link available. The gas limit is bonkers for some reason, making 70gwei cost more than $100. I don't understand that. I tried lowering the limit, but I'm betting it's going to fail.

Hey everybody, get a load of this guy. Buying a dex token and not staking for rewards. You do know the 10 million already staked is the dev team right? Did you read the whitepaper? It's a dex with a shitty Arb bot on top and NONE of that is remotely functional.

Yeah I tried lowering first too and it failed. Just had to bite the bullet. More than £100.

Keep an eye on how much space is available. I saw over 45k the other day.

I've also seen about 8% 1d APR before so I'm hoping it's unusually low at the moment.

fuck it, went in with the little bit of free space, metamask said the transaction was going to cost $116, ended up being $67. Hopefully this is worth it.

Anywhere really. It's on coinbase, binance, etc. Just make sure you pull it off the exchange and stake it on bancor.network. Best way to insure that you are getting most value out of it. Also you are going to need eth to stake.
