ARK funds perform pretty good. SPY is the S&P 500, a bunch of huge American companies. QQQ is more concentrated in big tech companies. "Sector" ETFs can help if you want to buy a sector like clean energy or banks but without picking one of them.
There's also leveraged ETF like TQQQ and SOXL if you want to take risks, kind of like having calls on multiple different stocks but more complicated. They are really risky though, it's going to hurt a lot if you're holding them during a market crash.
Google things. Read a lot of stuff on Investopedia. Try to figure out yourself - when are you right or wrong? Why? Then use that to get better. One day you'll be better at saying fuck this restaurant sector ETF, Denny's is the real winner because I've researched it.
