You rang? Yes, looking forward to pangolin of course. Sad i wont get a crate of ps5s airdropped to me, but looking forward to liquidity mining. I have a question regarding staking and taxes for any us tax autists. Are short term delegation/staking periods better because you receive the reward before it appreciates (assuming avax goes up in value ;) ). The rewards are issued at the end of the staking period, so you get the reward sooner before it appreciates much. Or would the bigger reward from a longer staking period offset this?

Thinking of making a node, and then delegating to my own node in short staking intervals so i can collect fees from my own delegations and cut down on tax exposure through appreciation. Any other ideas on staking strategy, chads?

How about liquidity mining strats for pangolin? I dont want to get fucked from IL on Avax

Also was thinking that shorter staking periods will allow for compounding, but maybe thats priced in to the bigger reward for longer intervals.

not your computer, not your node
microsoft or microsoft devops employee can at any moment take your nodes private key and impersonate it causing low trust and sadness in entire avalanche network

avalanche docs clearly state keep your node private key safe
avalanche docs clearly state when choosing validators check how they keep the node private key secure

just handing over your node private key to microsoft is not safe

validator nodes in avalanche are far more important than running bitcoin nodes
this is basically running a bitcoin miner and just "hey guys can I leave it in your basement you not gonna tamper with it promise me ok"

imagine if you had a bitcoin miner, would you just trust microsoft with it? 6.25btc at stake
if you are microsoft employee and see an idiot running a miner generating $212,500.00, sure you wouldnt replace the coinbase reward address with your own? lel

you think someone with the keys to the Azure kingdom is going to come after someone's fucking Ava node of all things? that's really the most valuable thing they could use their one-shot-and-you're-fucking-done-run-to-south-america-abuse-of-privileges for? in fact let me rephrase my question, how many people do you think have access to the Azure root keys and what process do you think exists to control their use and security?
