Bitcoin will throw all kinds of wacko shit. Remember the volatility is approximately 8x SP500. It is also undergoing capitalization which creates a lot of statistically deviant price behavior in contrast to largely saturated markets.
The pattern it makes is rise and consolidation. Bitcoin would like to rise as fast as possible to whatever price equals the fully capitalized market cap. But because humans are not machines and are also not clairvoyant this doesn't happen.
What happens instead is a swift rise followed by a period of consolidation typically within a range between (high value) and (high value*0.65) except on macro cycle highs.
The macro cycle is doing the same basic movement but longer timeframe.
Point of it all is there is really no use to forecasting btc except in the very vague sense.
