Valid opinion but I strongly disagree, we don't even know what UNI V3 will offer yet, whereas we know for a fact that with next month's release DEXG will reduce slippage considerably over UNI and we know that it will reduce impermanent loss for liquidity providers, thanks to the single asset pools backed by wETH (something sushi and uni are already trying to copy). As far as I can see rubic is nothing to be concerned by at all.

Yes I get that. By having LPs reimbursed by other multiple pools, you eliminate IL. That's easy. The downside is though that there is much more risk involved for LPs. You remove the negative effects of a token pair but add a negative effect by total liquidity drains.

Imagine a 100 ETH pools gets rugged and completely drained. LPs would suffer complete IL to 0. When you now reimburse LPs with funds from the wETH pool, the LPs from wETH pool are losing funds.

You can't eliminate IL on a swap exchange without having another party take take the risks. Again I urge you to explain this to me in simple terms, because it is really a simple problem.

Even if you add complexity around it, you can't magically make this issue disappear, you can just trade one negative effect with another.

However the main goal of DEXG is not to eliminate IL, but to provide better pricing with less slippage on the swap thanks to their speculative AMM. - Pool collects WETH and token Y
- Token Y gets drained completely and there is no arbitrage opportunity or market action to fill withdrawal requests of LPs
- People get WETH from the pool

Depends on how much faith they had in the project. The true smart thing to do was just to buy the dips during the staking dump and enter the staking round a little later since there were some very large dumps as a result of such staking rounds.
