From what I gathered from a previous post (copy paste lol), assuming the Devs actually deliver Uni 3 should boast:
- front running
- Impermanent loss fix
- Optional Layer 2 for reduced fees
- UNI holders will earn 0.05% of trading fees.
And now on the other hand we have an upcoming dex which I'm sure by now you've all heard of. We're still in early days but the main Rubic are listing are
- Cross chain swaps
- BSC instant trades (coming Jan 28th apparently)
- L2 integration
- Polkadot Integration ( this is more towards Q3 and Q4)
Now a lot of people have suggested that rubic will (at least in the long run) have an upper hand on uni and in some ways I agree however I believe in the short term it's more a race towards who can supply L2 first, that will likely shift the tide in either direction especially with everyone bitching about gas. In addition in the long run I can see why Rubic could takeover uni but because it's so popular and taking a leap forward like Uni 3 will likely keep a lot of people staying with uni, I think it could take longer than was first imagined. Well biz? Any thoughts?

wow and actual post with some thought put into it! maybe take my post with a grain of salt because i do hold rubic. I believe that uniswap has the first mover advantage because imo, they are the most well known of the dexes and biggest. However, being the "first" and biggest does not always mean you're the best. Take bitcoin for example, it's by far the largest cryptocurrency yet has failed in its primary purpose of being a currency. Another cryptocurrency will come along and accomplish this, (probably a central bank issued currency).

Right now trading on uniswap and other dexes sucks because the fees are too damn high. The team behind rubic is creating a solution to this whole fee debacle. Once this solution is more available then I can see a large exodus of people doing business with rubic instead of other dexes. Why spend $55 to do a trade over at uniswap when you could do the same thing for $0.10 at rubic.

Rubic only has a marketcap of $10m and uniswap has a mc of $3.5b. There is a lot of room for growth for rubic.

i think if rubic can actually incorporate the token into more than just a fee payer and to inshallah not just another fucking governance meme it will also see great demand. what i mean is in house staking or something else worth while that increases demand and takes rubic off the market while powering the exchange.

staking is coming from what i heard but don't quote me on that

I agree. I'm actually all in on rubic but I wanted to try and reduce my bias for it primarily for the points in my first post and also because until I heard about rubic I always used Uniswap. But yeah I believe that with the amount rubic has to offer at this early stage. It does make sense to assume this will grow quite a bit over the coming months and years. Right now it managed to go from blinking on the radar to now somewhat back under it after the recent dip. However the sentiment I saw recently definitely shows the potential rubic has, I'm excited to see what they will do

I believe Rubic will either be 1) a cosmic level happening where it overtakes the entirety of dexs, or 2) becomes a coin that slowly but steadily grows (ex: rlc).

I can't see it flat out failing at this point because there have been too many opportunities to cash out and crash it. Also it seems to be gaining traction elsewhere now.

yeah i have a sense that this coin has only really gained traction 4chan so far funnily enough. However, that in itself is very powerful as there are a lot of new eyes on this project now. Thus we will see an exponential growth in the amount of people that are discussing this project. I think that the coming month will prove to be a very significant time for marketing and new exchanges. Plus it's being kickstarting by the binance smart chain integration. I believe that a binance listing is inevitable once they apply for it in February.

at this point its been picking up traction yea like with dash and binance community. our time will come rubic bros and it's not just hopeium
