You've posted this a couple times and it's not correct to compare this to dotcom crash.
First of all, the bubble in equity valuations is not a result of rampant speculation (although that is happening now and contributing to it) but because of monetary policy. The pin that pops the bubble will be an illiquidity event, and will (probably) not start in the stock market but (probably) in the repo markets and move (very quickly) into all other markets, equities included.

Illiquidity events are high velocity, as seen in February/March 2020, which was a small illiquidity event which had circuit breakers multiple days in a row. Price discovery in a liquidity event has such high velocity to the downside because it is essentially a short squeeze for USD; imagine if everybody was "short" USD and then needed to get USD to "cover" their short.
The next market drop might not be 50% in a day (and circuit breakers could be the only reason it doesn't), but it will be high speed. (think GME but instead of an equity it's for cash, and orders of magnitude more severe).

Domestic liabilities in the US equal about 157 trillion dollars. This is demand for USD (they are short USD by 157 trillion, because they need 157 trillion to pay back debt+interest).

When the big "crash" everybody is talking about happens, it will be as apocalyptic as gold hoarding boomers claim it will be. However because it will be so bad, you might as well ride the wave with the rest of it - if there is a small crash like the corona-crash the Fed will bail us out and the party will continue - if not we're all fucked anyways so this idea that everybody should be waiting on the sidelines with cash won't matter.
