Wait until a "safe" asset has taken a severe dump, then long it on a couple of x. Or the other way around if in a bear market.

most basic way would be to only bet with 1% to 3% of your portfolio per trade, approximately, depending on how much you trust your edge
otherwise you can hedge your bets but I've never traded crypto that way. I hodl crypto and trade stocks/options

Actually, it's very suspicious when you start talking about leverage trading, and almost all people who respond (boasting about their gains, for example) admit that they have been in the game for a few weeks or months. It means people don't stay in leverage trading for long.
