Yes, reading it currently. Fascinating article. I didn't realize the lengths that these exchanges went to impede people from taking delivery of physical metal. They changed the rules on existing contracts just to prevent the Hunt brothers from continuing to acquire more silver.

I think it is fair to say that this situation will not occur again:

"But of course the rapid and extreme rule changes were not the only factors involved in creating the silver crash. There is, in fact, a great deal
more that is suspicious here. Interest rates were rocketed and loans from
the banks for "speculative" purposes were severely curtailed. Of course
high interest rates tend to draw investment money out of the precious
metals and into attractive short-term Treasury bills."

"Most people still listen to Walter Cronkite telling them that inflation is rising prices. But Mr. Hunt knows that rising prices are the effect of inflation and that the cause is huge federal deficits that are spun out into the economy as fiat credit and currency. Bunker believes that politicians will continue to pump money into the economy, in effect buying votes from the unproductive to be paid for by reducing the value of the savings of the productive. Deficit money takes on value only by diluting the purchasing power of all the money that is already in circulation. Mr. Hunt believes that this process might continue until it takes a wheelbarrow full of Washingtons and Lincolns to buy a Big Mac. Should the purchasing power of our currency approach zero in a hyperinflationary nightmare, the people would demand a more stable means of exchange. At that time, gold would be too precious to be used in the everyday monetary transactions of the average citizen and silver coins would once again become a means of exchange.

They never tried to squeeze anyone. They took their deliveries slowly, over many months, even accepted in settlement of some of their contracts non-certified silver not on deposit with the exchanges, and gracefully rolled the bulk of their futures forward into later and later months so as not to squeeze the sellers. Cornerers? Not quite. While it is true that the Hunts wished to acquire large quantities of silver, as we have noted, they had the soundest of reasons for doing so.”

Famous painters won't be going at that price range. So a way to look at it is you're buying a week or several weeks of a skilled artist's time for pocket change. Pic rel is going for only $50. Not quite the level of detail I want but I love the color palette and motif. Large, too. Definitely not a get rich quick scheme, but you can't sincerely say that something like this will ever be worth less than the current purchasing power of fifty dollars. An overlooked store of value.

Depends on how much of your portfolio you want in metals. Premiums are an additional cost added to the spot price of the metal itself. Reflecting demand, cost to make, and profit margin. Typically premiums are reported as per oz or as a % of the total cost.
Silver premiums as a percentage are generally higher than gold premiums for the same amount of either. Premiums are lower if you buy bigger denominations (so 10 oz bars will have less premium/oz than 1 oz coins for example). The lone exception is "junk silver". Typically these are coins of all sorts that were formally used as currency that are usually only some % of silver. These sometimes can be found "near spot" despite their small size if you buy a lot of them: they typically come in big allotments of coins.

Let me make it easy for you – the only reason silver is so cheap is because of the concentrated short position of the 4 biggest traders, who hold more than 312 million ounces short, as of the latest COT report. When combined with the next 4 largest traders, the concentrated short position grows to nearly 404 million ounces. The connection couldn’t be more direct. I’m starting to think that silver (and gold) will not increase in value slowly along a years-long linear scale during this bull market like we all probably originally thought it would. In fact, I’ve heard David Morgan say that this bull market will probably be shorter than the previous ones, but feature sudden, swift, parabolic moves in PM prices, instead of slow and steady increases. I think what you and others have said will indeed become true: we wake up one morning, expecting the same old price crabbing, and see that the COMEX has defaulted, silver is up to $200 (or more), and then we spend the next few months watching mining stocks go to the moon. Mix in a Fed YCC announcement or 10y yields causing an equity market correction and there is quite the recipe for a parabolic increases in gold and silver prices in a very quick amount of time.

In regards to the COMEX breaking and what price action we may see, we have palladium as a reference point. bearing in mind that palladium is purely an industrial metal, whereas precious metals have the almost immeasurably larger demand basis of being stores of value and mediums of exchange. The demand for them will be far greater than any industrial commodity.

The big thing i think we're all underestimating is: the WHOLE world hinges on this. If we're right, and fiat collapses and capital flight goes out of the paper ponzi scheme world and into commodities and precious metals - hundreds of millions of people are going to get wiped out. They're wiped out already - but this will have real life, immediate consequences.

Aside from us, the tiny percentage of people who are self interested and invested in commodities, The entire world does NOT want this to occur, and will do whatever is necessary to prevent it from happening. Their attempts will be futile, but they will be until the bitter end. As investors, we must be prepared to meet that bitter end.

Doesn't matter. Most people want to sell privately to get a better return and confidence is low on the bars.

Do many people will neck themselves when pms moon and they try to offload and realise they wasted 10-15 grand. Happened on the largest pm forum in Europe recently, guy was trying to liquidate nearly 100 of these scottsdale bars. All but 5 were fake. He was devastated. Yet they are still being bought right now.

>silver can do a 3 to 4x if the economy goes to shit and fiat currency is devalueing
Try x30 to x40, in real term, not nominal term. In nominal it could be x30000000000.
We own the philosopher stone to unlock the next evolutionary stage of humanity ffs.
Once the mass exodus from USD begin, where do you think boomers' and hedge fund money will flow into? The trillions over trillions seeking refuge.

Crypto? Lol no way funds or boomers ever touch this shit, way too unreal, risky, volatile, ponziesque for them to ever consider it. And that's if shitcoins are still around anyway since it will probably end up either being ruled illegal or swimming in insane regulations and taxes at the end of this year to elliminate (((CBDCs)))' concurrence.

Real estate? Doubt it, too risky in a communist country, could be nationalized, there could be a landlordcide just like in Mao's Great Leap Forward where 98% of landlords were killed, and who in their right mind would want to be a landlord post 2020 when almost a THIRD of renters in this country are months behind in their rent payment already?

Collectibles/art? Yes surely, they will thrive if you manage to find the right ones.

Stonks? Yes, but most likely in nominal term, so it will help keep peoples' head above water by being an inflation edge. But a lot of companies will disappear too, you better diversify and pick diamond solid ones. Imho commodities and cybersecurity will be the 2 golden gooses. Add to this green energy, not because they are viable, but simply because they will be swimming in governmental money. Probably weapons manufacturers too since it's pretty clear Biden's 100% jewish administration will want blood, a lot of blood, especially in the middle east. Miners will be a great bet too, but it will also be fighting all the regulations the NWO will throw at it. Betting on juniors may not be the clever move, i'd mostly stay in big companies who can afford the institutional racket.

Bonds? Lmao.

Then what's left? Gold and Silver.

They will soak up ALL the money around, acting like mega-magnets on savings. The demand will be absolutely unreal once the currencies' velocity become uncontrollable . It's simple : it will have to absorb literally quadrillions of fake money currently sitting in derivatives, it will absorb savings, pension funds, credit default swaps, insurrances,....
PMs will go to the absolute stratosphere once the DXY start to really plunge. Imagine : literally EVERY country hold USD to protect their currencies' value and commercial trades. What will replace USD to make this insurance policy once the USD is worthless? Yep, gold and silver, as it always was before america's supremacy.
This alone will x100 the demand for PMs.

I hate it when pmg boomers start to cuck away and say metals are to retain purchasing power, not to make it... NO
YOU WILL BECOME INSANELY, STUPIDLY FILTHY RICH if you own gold & silver.
I didn't start to hold to retain value over my pathetic savings, i did it because i got a vision of what's to come. I became a fucking oracle and what i foresaw was me swimming in cunnies will a harem of hundreds of virginal teens obeying my commands. I saw me literally constructing a second library of Alexandria to save all the based books from the commies and kikes book burning so i can preserve the truth for the generations to come. I saw myself moving around and flexing my wealth in a cute grils-drawn golden carriage. I'll create a ski station where the pists are made out of pure cocaine.
I WILL BE SO FUCKING RICH I WONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY WEALTH
AND IT WILL BE THANKS TO MY SILVER STACK.

The dollar is supported by US military interventionism abroad. This “works” (forgive the term) when it’s against smaller countries interfering, but with both Russia and China establishing the ability to dump the dollar for their own gold-backed domestic currency, the US military cannot and would not engage with those two superpowers just to save a dying currency. Scottie is a Pan Man stock so ought to be trustworthy. It's not one that I own.

If you buy microcaps like BHS or SSE or projects with temporary problems like IRV then there is less guarantee of getting an immediate reaction to the silver price, even though they may be the best performers medium to long term. But I am sure that the larger "core" small caps like Impact Silver, Silver One, and Dolly Varden will vastly outperform the mid-tiers again, quite as they did from Jan 2020. Compare the 3x of DV with the 35% gain in First Majestic. Those three are _extremely_ reactive to the silver price. BLLG is a good one because it is vastly undervalued and oversold and I simply can't see what the risk is there. The ratio of metal in the ground is 2:1 silver to gold so definitely a silver stock.

Yes, you can simply liquidate your mid-tiers at a loss and buy the small caps. I have done it before. It is ultra-high-risk and you are risking even further losses if silver drops, but if you think that silver will go up and are willing to risk losing all your money if it goes down then I see no reason not to do so.

To make the point about bidding clear, BHS e. g. is often some absurd number like 0.08 euros on the ask in Frankfurt when the true price is 0.06. It's a common mistake for new investors to hit the ask when trading OTC and overpay. When it comes to a stock like BLLG or DV hitting the ask is safer because they are more liquid. But always check ceo.ca for the true price.

This is not always the case either. If the volume is 1k and the price goes down 20% the price has not truly changed at all, somebody has just sold a thousand shares for a lowball bid. You see this kind of stuff for microcaps with tiny float and always saddens me when I want to add and see it's a false move.

ok you guys FOMO'd me to cancel my sell order. I need to drop 1 or 2 of these stocks tho. I'm looking for something that doesn't dip too hard when silver has a bad day - that was the main problem

so which ones am i dropping? ignore PLNHF - that is a weed stock and i'm not fucking selling

>It is ultra-high-risk and you are risking even further losses if silver drops, but if you think that silver will go up and are willing to risk losing all your money if it goes down then I see no reason not to do so.
I definitely believe it. We may have to wait a few months or years but I don't think it's even possible for gold or silver not to catch up with the money supply, especially considering that most of other comodities have gone up significantly already.I have my core position in physical PM and I'm willing to risk my stock go to zero if the potential reward is 100x or more. thanks.

I actually view SSE as relatively safe given the other properties. At most I fear opportunity cost. If silver goes up I don't foresee that anybody is going to be trapped in that stock or not make an enormous amount of money. It's only if silver goes down that you get wiped out.

>26467066

Your stocks look perfectly all right to me so long as silver goes up. I think that you simply need the confidence to accept your decisions and wait. I had to convince someone here about 4 months ago not to sell his Klondike. He bought it on Degiro but worried when it "dumped" the next day and at the thought that he couldn't get out of an illiquid market. He would have missed a 5x move if he sold. What I said is that you should only buy these microcaps in the first place if you are prepared to lose every penny you invest in them. You should only derisk to the extent that you don't believe in silver and this bull market or may need cash in the near future.

Imagine relying on a piece of paper to tell you your metal is gold, you're only 1 step removed from just owning fiat. If it is not self evident based on objective physical properties such as size, weight, pitch, etc, then what's the point of even getting it?

Scottie hit $0.45 a share back in August with $29 silver, can't believe it's around $.20 now. I'm locked and loaded with 25,000 shares and with all the drill results they have on the way it really seems it's just a matter of time before some very high grade holes launch it back over $0.30

thats my thinking. There going to keep looking around for extensions of the existing ore body while Ascot gets its mill upgraded, than actually mining the ore body will be super cheap. Its very interesting that back in the day the original company mining at Scottie didnt really explore much, they just kept following the wide quartz veins for gold than stopped when the price of gold went well below profitability.

A lot of my favourite stocks are down just as much as Scottie since the 2020 high as well. Irving Resources, BHS, BLLG. Many are down 30% at least. Sentiment is awful in the juniors right now, people who bet against the herd are getting bargain prices at the absolute bottom.

I see that CMC Metals just released a resource estimate with only half the silver of BHS, grade 3 ounces lower, but mcap 4 million higher, also no offtake agreement or anywhere close to production. Convinces me again of the undervalued nature of what we have.

It's a fucking nightmare the more you read - it's all true. I get paid tomorrow, and I'm going balls deep in silver in memory of Bunker Hunt. Were the fuck would this country be had he won? It hurts the fucking head to even think about it, especially when your realize that all of the social evils we're currently fighting can all be linked to the elimination of sound money. As a side note, what is it about Texans that make them so astute on this issue? It was the Hunts in the 70s and 80s, and Ron Paul has been the standard bearer as well.

I guess this device works by mesuring the resistance of the piece of metal you put betwen the diodes. You could possibly do this with an multimeter and calculating the expected resistance by its gamma value and density.
