Take the AUPH pill.

PDUFA deadline is TODAY(most expect it to be today AH).

If approved, it will be the best lupus nephritis drug on the market. The only other one is made by GIK, but:
>Oral pill vs IV
>More effective
Who will take IV's for a year, in the corona-climate, when you can just take a nice little pill?

The company has $400m in cash right now, with more than $50m more from their partner (Otsuka) on approval.

Drug has been fast-tracked due to the incredibly good P2 results (p<0.001)

lupus.org estimates up to 1.5 million people with lupus. PG says 400K. 70% of that 400K will be of the SLE form of lupus or 280K. Of those 280K, 40%(PG) or 112K will get LN.

Let's assume a modest market penetration of 15% = 17k patients. With a yearly treatment cost of 70k, we are looking at a (very conservative) 1.2B in revenue per year. This is only in the US.

We are sitting on a 1.91B market cap and 126M shares out. The ratios are incredible.

AUPH has 2027 patent of composition guaranteed for their drug, which means 6 full years of profits. However, there is a (relatively good) possibility of the FDA approving it with a special label: AUPH discovered that reducing their dosage on certain patients throughout treatment increases renal response. This has been patented until 2037. A label which specifies this guarantees 16 years!! of leading the market.

I'm not saying it's not risky. If it doesn't get approved we're looking at an 80% loss of money. An approval with label puts us at least at $30 and a huge chance of buyout. Rejection is possible, but I don't think it will happen here.

He's eliminating the long-term capital gains tax exemption. Basically, if you held something for over a year and sold it, you'd pay very little in taxes.

The problem is Warren Buffett has egging this point on for years. Because he's held AAPL and made a fuck ton of money, he feels guilty and now thinks capital gains are this giant loophole that allows investors to con the middle class more than they actually do.

What's interesting is that there's now no incentive to hold a stock for long gains, which increases shorting, which increases volatility

Here's some GME TA based on monthly historical data over a span of the past 10 years.

GME opened at $19 and has a high $45.52 for this month. This is a 239% growth and is the highest monthly growth for GME for the past decade.

If GME had opened at the same value of $19 it's 2nd highest monthly growth would be $34.47. This is a 187% growth.

With the high value of $45.52 and the month coming to a close. GME could close at these values if it doesn't hit new monthly highs.
1% chance of closing above $45.29
5% chance of closing above $45.00
10% chance of closing above $44.64
25% chance of closing above $43.69
50% chance of closing above $41.92
75% chance of closing above $39.45
99% chance of closing above $29.09

Hope this helps people make their choices.

anons, I'm up about 60% from when I started investing back in 2018. I sold last year in February head of the crash.
One thing I've learned is to invest in sound businesses that fundementally have a for sure reason to increase in value (80 to 90% of your portfolio) and to hold it for a loooooong time. I've lost more money in missed opportunity by trying to time the market. I could've been up roughly 160% from last year alone if I didn't try to time the market at the bottom.

My point being is this. Change your strategy. Stop buying and selling emotionally and just hold good companies.
The three companies I'm in right now are:
>AMD
>BL
>Fastly
Buy into those three and just forget about them for a year and a half. You'll be surprised at what happens.
Also, read the book "Value averaging the safe and easy guide for higher investment returns". This book changed how I view investing. To sum it up, stocks of good companies, on average, will go up, so buy and hold.

Shares of Celsion Corp [CLSN] shot up 85.1% toward a six-month high in very active premarket trading Thursday, putting the stock on track to more than double in two days after the cancer drug development company disclosed that it terminated a previously announced share purchase agreement with Lincoln Park Capital (LPC).

If they terminated the sale purchase agreement, it means they don't need the money because they are going to merge. Even without a merge announcement, they are due to report on Phase III cancer treatments any day now, and such an announcement would carry the stock into the double-digits.

[CLSN] has more than doubled (up 116.5%) over the past three months through Thursday.

Of greatest interest to me as a scientist is the completion of an Oxford study using Celsion's proprietary ThermoDox technology for targeted delivery of Doxorubicin to tumors in the body. Phase III (yes THREE) of the study was completed in July of 2019 in the United Kingdom. The primary endpoint of ensuring a two-fold concentration of drug targeted the tumors (compared to healthy tissue) in over 50% of the patients was met (having been met for 66% and 75% of the patients in each of 2 cohorts, respectively): https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/results/NCT02181075?term=Celsion&draw=3&rank=14

I'm sure it didn't get much coverage over here because it was completed in the UK.

Scientifically, this means Phase III endpoints for ThermoDox in the USA trial will be a success, which makes me extremely bullish, and it also explains why there was no need to follow through with the fundraising measure of selling stock to a finance company at this point, because they know they have a good thing. For all we know, they may already be in talks or even had an offer for a merge or a buyout by a larger company (like Gilead, for example), but their latest move shows they are not worried about money, which is an extreme "buy and hold" signal.

Buyout won't happen until q2 at the earliest, if it does. Tak might be interesting in licensing Orladeyo since it will be taking away their market. They are the main distributer of hae drug, except its in a needle. Having a pill would give them the market on hae drugs. That's just speculative though. I've included a slide from their presentation in January. If you're wondering whether to hold long term go and look at their website. I would hold until q2 because of earnings. Most estimates seem to be on the conservative side and if their marketing is as aggressive as they are making it seem they are going to blow earnings out of the water.

>At the second interim analysis by the independent Data Monitoring Committee (DMC), which covered 80% of the deaths needed for the final analysis, indicated that the OPTIMA Study had narrowly crossed the futility boundary of Hazard Ratio (HR)=0.90 with substantial uncertainty. The reported HR suggested by the Kaplan-Meier analysis was 0.903 with a p-value of 0.524. The DMC advised Celsion of its findings, leaving the decision to stop the study up to the Company.

you can find a lot of papers on the topic, fiscal stimulus doesn´t do shit in a overleveraged economy. You can pump it up for a short time, but eventually it falls back to the old levels.

Millions of people lost their jobs, you lost several businesses and infrastructure, you can´t patch this shit with money, it will take years till you reach pre pandemic levels.
