Reposting in this thread because nobody is gonna see it at the end of the last one:

>want to increase mining stonk position
>have yet to contribute to Roth IRA for 2020, the deadline is this April
>Money would be locked up for over 30 years

While it seems like a shame to miss out on tax-free gains, I'm afraid that with such a long time horizon I will never see my money given the current monetary/political climate, or if I do it will be taxed to hell and back with new laws to punish the little guy in exchange for more darkie gibs. Does anyone have input on this? I could always just put the same cash in a regular investment account and pay the long term capital gains rate in 2-3 years which is only 15% if the silver miner moon mission does become a reality.

That's exactly what I've done already. The majority of my IRA currently is mining stocks since I sold my regular S&P index portfolio last february before the crash to "tether." Those funds were added over a period of several years, and effectively stuck there already. My bigger concern is adding any new funds given the reasons I outlined in my last post.

I think there is still a lot of reticence about the mining industry by outside investors. Every time the PM prices go up, they're immediately slammed back down. So even though all of us know the games being played, most people waiting on the sidelines to buy Newmont, Barrick, Pan American, etc. think it the variations in prices are organic.

It depends on the premium you are paying.
I live in german speaking country where those coins are sub 1% premium.
The Kronen (corona) are made in 900/1000 yellow gold alloy, the Ducats are 986/1000 and are superflat and thin. Personally I think ducats are somewhat of a disapointment, they are very fragile.

I'm looking to enter the silver market again (The Netherlands) Are new bullion the best buy in since there is no VAT on them? Or should I try "second hand" bullion and coins?

>> No.26324664

So I've been out of the loop for a while, and now I'm seeing some real negative sentiment around Aurcana and Klondike Silver, which are some of my core positions. I will admit that I took the "iron hands, buy it and HODL" perhaps a bit too literally and I don't take deep looks at my holdings all that often. Should I be concerned? so far AUN and KS have been some of my best performers, and to my knowledge none of their fundamentals have changed (the silver in the ground hasn't gone anywhere). If it's just that their management is doing some trickery with the stocks, that's a bit beyond my level of comprehension. I was never planning on selling quickly to turn a quick buck, but I don't want to get burned if these guys are doing some sneaky manipulation that would screw over shareholders.

Since I am the corona chad here I cannot deny a 100 Kronen Österreich coin needs to be in your portfolio, however it really isnt worth more than 3% premium.
Unless stated otherwise all Kronen and Ducats you buy are modern day restrikes of the austrian state mint. Meaning they have been minted someday in the 80s and not in 1915.
There is also a hungarian Kronen coin, however they have high premiums even in my country.
If possible have a look at 5,81g LMU coins, especially swiss Vreneli, they are in high demand and if you can buy those at 3% or less buy immediately.

Gold is a finite resource. No more gold is being created in our world except for asteroids colliding with us.

Economically, the juice (gold) needs to be worth the squeeze (space travel and mining), either the barriers to space travel have to be lowered mostly through cheap energy in perpetuity and that the cheap energy can't be used on the crust probably due to ironically environmental concerns.

Supply/demand equilibrium will yield price of gold. This will most likely happen when humanity has either moved past it's secular squabbles or have been entirely conquered and everyone is living in arcologies. A high population and limited amount of gold will yield the high relative price where it's worth blasting off into space to retrieve the glorious shiny boomer rocks of old.

Clearly, Kitco is deathly afraid of posting any realistic appraisal of the movements in gold’s price. Actually, there is no reason at all to read Kitco’s comments, for the gold graphs speak all too clearly of what is going on: the price of gold is under strict control by The Powers That Be, because a surging price of gold would announce the imminent collapse of the value of the US Dollar."

In theory that would be a REIT but your holding would never actually allow you to OWN the land. The best way to "save up" for land is gold. Gold and real estate move relative to each other but its always been around.
A villa in Ancient Rome, an Aztec calpulli, a Spanish hacienda, etc. could all be bought in gold.

Almost all of them do it by owning the land and then renting it to tenants. Commerical REITs to businesses. Residential REITs for housing. Etc. They are a very indirect play on real estate in certain sectors that are required to pay out to investors (and have obnoxiously annoying tax treatments).
But to again reiterate. Buy gold. Buy gold. Buy gold. Once you have enough, buy land. Asteroid mining is the FUD of absolute idiots.

This is a true dilemma.

Things to consider:
Future political threat: Tax treatment or retirement rules may change in the future
Complete financial and societal collapse: your brokerage account and retirement is the least of your worries

Bottom line is
1. You will have to survive to see retirement, whatever that looks like
2. A dollar today is always worth more than a dollar tomorrow. Your moonshots and wise investments only mitigate the robbery of your purchase power

I would put that money to use to buy metals or some land. These accounts can be leveraged today to help you buy land as your principal residence. Perhaps the best play is to keep your positions in miners and leverage them to buy land after they moon and assets crash.

There are at least a couple anons that know what to look for and go scrounging for sterling silver to scrap. I think one guy has used a propane furnace to melt it down and cast his own .925 ingots, but its probably wiser to leave them in their current state. Like any other coin. Compare the pictures on fleebay to the one on NGC, that’s all you can do until you get the coin. Look for tooling marks, bubble pops, wrong fonts, wrong dates, look at the quality of the design, does it seem like unsharp or weak (not mentioning wear). Look for the posts description it says anything about exunomia, silverplated, or German silver it’s not real.

When you actually get it is when you can verify if it’s real. Ice test, magnet test, ping test, bleach test, weight and diameter.

Most sellers have a no hassle return policy, this is what scammers take advantage of. They knowingly will ship a fake and expect you to return the coin, you’ll get your refund but they keep you initial shipping cost, which they probably shipped out for a fraction of what you paid for in shipping.

eBay is safe, you may get a couple scams but they usually go for stuff with a high premium and/or gold, junk silver isn’t really on the lists for scammers since it’s return isn’t nearly as good. And of course DYOR.

Hard to answer fren, there were serving forks of all descriptions, dinner, luncheon, pastry, salad, and cocktail forks all with different weights. Same with spoons, you have serving, soup, gumbo, boullion, table, tea, 5-o-clock tea, demitasse, etc.

>whats a good price for a sterling silverware?

A good price is no more than 50 cents per gram of solid sterling, so bring a pocket scale. Sterling handled knives with steel or stainless blades can be tricky like forks and spoons because you have carving sets, dinner, luncheon, and
little butter knives (lowest yielders at 12-16g per handle) but if you can get any of the knives for $6 or less then you're doing fine.

They have very high maintenance capex compared to other companies that aren't producing because they have a ton of equipment ready to go as soon as prices correct. Because of the bear market they just decided to dilute instead of merge into a larger corp.

>the biggest argument is that they have cash, and equipment to restart, but maybe they fuckin wont, and it will go to 20 cents and back to 4 cents
They can't because the market has given their equity such a high valuation. Because the market has decided this company is going to survive, the company is going to survive. Maybe it'll never 50x because uranium never goes >50, but in that case you just bleed. Deso never explained this (because he doesn't actually understand this part) but the payoff function is verrrrrry attractive if you think we have a good chance of seeing higher uranium prices and or inflation.

Learn what "reflexivity" is before you start slinging shit like a retard. It's why George Soros gets to control half the world despite being pretty fucking stupid everywhere else.

When the big crash comes I'll bury my gold near a river, so that in 100k years Grug Jr can find my coins washed up on a distant shore, and they become the most valuable posession of the Knee-club Tribe.
Meanwhile I'll be in hell, still laughing at the Cryptoniggers who thought their shitcoins are crisis proof, while not even leaving a trace of their "wealth".

It's more that if a Butthorse shill senses doubt he will immediately lambast you on how there's 30 quadrillion ounces in the ground, the CEO has personally wiped his dick on each of these ounces, and it is your duty under god and as a man to waste as much of your bank account as you can on this holy investment. Fuck every pretentious faggot who shills it.

The only traces of their wealth will be the small flakes of gold, silver and copper left over from their computer chips.

Gold is really magical, you're basically buying money for next to nothing, a small premium that would hardly cover shipping for a phone or a pair of shoes.
But unlike buying shoes, you don't lose the money you buy with, you actually just turn it into physical money.
