you don't need to hang out with anyone and chances are if your not 100% still going to be friends with someone in 5 years(while improving and making gains and growing with life experience, not just being a bum stoner with your stoner friend for 5 more years) then you don't need to be friends with that person at all.

When I finally dropped out I had lost all friendships and was a loner, which wasn't good for me because I went through a /pol/ wignat phase and completely lost touch with how normal people saw reality.
I would suggest you make friends that positivily reinforce good things you want to see manifest in you, you wanna be fit? find fit friends, but meat them half way, a fit person isn't going to be your fitness fren if your not fit or trying to get fit yourself for example
