Probably not the best place to ask for financial advice, and I know i will get trolled for this.
But my father recently died in Hospital (covid19).
He fought hard but untortunately his heart couldn't handle the virus. When they called me i came to the intensive care and they told me he passed 4 minutes ago. This is unfortunately something all of us go through, but it sucks.
He was a good person, but unfortunately not so with money.
He left my 60 y.o. mother with a 90.000 euro debt and about 15.000 euro in savings, and the .

Should we (my mom) invest in crypto?
She is willing to risk +/- 1000.
I myself can invest 200 +/- euro's a month (just paid for the funeral and other things so i'm broke)

I don't really care about lambo's i just want to help my mother get the 90k so she can live out the rest of her days in peace.

What would you do in my situation?

Buy AXAX on binance with crypto. You might get a 10x. Don't forget to cash out late February or March. It will crash as it always does.

I'm sorry anon but 200 a month is peanuts for investing
also sorry for your loss

Unless the missing word in that sentence is "the house" i wouldnt accept the inheritance i guess. As far as investing goes, id sell covered options.

Firstly, sorry for your loss fren. Second, crypto is great to invest in but I'm not sure if the returns from buying things like Bitcoin or Ethereum are going to be able to pay off the debt any time soon. You may be able to gamble it and get lucky with shitcoins but I wouldn't recommend it. If you wanna help your mom retire in 3-10 years then I would say just start buying Bitcoin on a monthly basis. The more money you put in, the better.

>60 years old with 90k debt
That's a rough age to still be dealing with that much unsecured debt. She can reasonably expect to survive another 30 years. If she was a little older I'd say to just ignore the debt and let it die with her but 30 years, even 10 years is a little much for that.

She's still working right? Have her keep working so she has some income and save up everything she can. Make minimum payments on the debt and look up any kind of repayment plans for old people who can't work anymore, you might be able to get a lot of the debt written off. She shouldn't be investing in crypto, it's too risky an asset.

You on the other hand should be saving and investing every last scrap you can because you're still young and have time to wait for it to pay off.

Sorry for your dad. Does she own her house?
I don't know about your legislation, but in general all creditors can at maximum get all the assets of a deceased person to get their money back. If your dad left to you less assets than 90k too bad for then
Also, was those 15k euro declared by him in income tax? Well, probably they will go for it. If it is in a bank account, withrdrawl THEM NOW

I think it's safe to buy "safe" bets like BTC/ETH after a major crash, but right now it's hard to say if it's time to go in. Sorry for your loss anon, I hope you make it out in the end. 90k euro is alot of money but remember that many have earned more than that from nothing in the crypto space - you can do it too, but be careful.

Sorry for your loss man. Biz is probably not the best place to ask for advice when your just starting with crypto because of all the noise and pump and dump attempts.

Please always do your own research before investing. Look at a projects website, partnerships, real world adoption and community involvement on Telegram or Discord.

That said, for a longterm solid investment my advice is:

75% IOTA
25% Quant

About to go see my grandpa for the last time because he's in the hospital dying of covid right now. He had other issues (COPD) that made the situation worse. So sorry for your loss anon.

Imo, you shouldn't be worrying about investing right now. Use the cash he left behind for what yall need to take care of in the immediate term (don't fucking pay collections if you need the cash for a funeral or something).
Im not sure how it works across the waters, but here in the states if he was a sole provider for the house and your mother doesn't make the income the debt could be forgiven or reduced tremendously (pennies on the dollar instead of paying the full amounts). This is worth the time to talk to a specialist that handles estates.
Now, if your mother is looking to invest after all this to grow income for the next.. 10yrs or so then absolutely buy up crypto and invest in it regularly.

>> No.26203593

I deep down want to shill you a coin that really does have the fundamentals to 100x (maybe even more) which would pay off the debt but I'm not a clairvoyant, nor is anyone else on here. Ultimately I don't think getting your mother's hopes up on some shitcoins will do a tremendous amount for her mental health. Tackling things a little slower can sometimes be the best way.

Btw, if your parents were still paying for the mortgage, probably they were paying altoghether an insurance in case of death of one of the payers. Look for it.

I hope OP family was smart enough for withdrawing his saves before his death. My mother died of brain cancer almost three years ago, and the third and final time she went to the hospital I knew she couldn't make it. So I started to withdrawl all money I could. In her last day she was already inconscious, I went to the hospital to say goodbye, turned off my smartphone and I went to the bank. In total I got around $ 8k, which I shared with my sister without dealing with lawyers.

He is not dying of covid because covid is a meme. I thought that we as a species decided to collectively forget that 2020 ever even happened. It is 2021 now, covid is no longer real, joe biden is now the dementia patient of executives, and GRT is the bing of blockchain.

I'm based in the Netherlands, and my father only left my mom with a car, which i helped her sell for a smaller cheaper car.

The house is worth 300k, there is still 90k left to pay, the ownership is in my mother's name, and my father's will(or testament how we call it here) is written in a way that my mom can continue living in the house, and then from my father's half 33% goes to me and 66% to the children from my father's first marriage (which he didn't have a good relationship with but he couldn't remove them from the inheritance due to dutch law, they weren't even invited to the funeral)

My mom works but only makes +/- 1200 euro's a month and her costs of living are +/- 600 euro's.

The situation is real messy. Big debt, low income, 2 children from first marriage that will have to be paid off if i want to inherit the house.

Peanuts turn to walnuts, which then turn to nectarines, eventually becoming cantaloupe of course. Never underestimate the power of peanuts or tree-nuts of the like. Or any other type of legume

>quit my job at another country and came back home
>started a businness with everything i had and worked my ass off doing literally everything myself
>no vacations, no weekends, 4 years working nonstop
>sold the company a year ago (just before the rona)
>saved my mom's home (was close to being forclosured when i got here), and she's now retired with passive income from the sale and a full pension
>i'm so fucking proud of myself anons, most days i still can't believe i was able to pull it off
Crypto is a lazy solution to your problem imo, you should do everything in your hand to help your mum.. it won't be easy, but it has been the most fullfilling effort i've ever done in my life
