The Elliot wave model is as follows: 5 waves complete a cycle. The third line on the right is the 3rd wave (yellow). if you zoom in to this 3rd wave, we find that its composed of a wave of smaller cycle/degree (cyan), and that wave is starting wave 4, which is a retracement. Ideally, it will go up again to complete the cycle with wave 5. The thing is that once that happens, wave 4 for the bigger degree will kick in, another retracement.
