You know how bitcoin works? You solve problems and validate the network and you get a reward for it. Well for this you do the same but you need minimum 2000 avax to create a node which will validate transactions on the network. You get rewarded for keeping a validator node set up. It doesn't require a lot of hardware just a computer (even a raspberry pi4) that is always plugged in and online.

Look at the max total supply, then market cap. This token has an obscene distance to go before it hits supply/demand equilibrium during normal volume conditions.
