Not even, the initial supply was 100x less than it is now before the fork, it'd be around the same price that ETH is now. And you're right in this case, the low price is just for show.

The fact that /oil hasn't caught on is unironically a really good sign of the potential to be had. Yes $100 is indeed modest.

The thing is DOT actually does everything ETH promised and isn't stuck in development limbo for years. There's no telling where the price will go from here but $500 DOT isn't outside the realm of possibility.

That's like saying no one will develop apps on Android because iOS had the first app store. The Ethereum upgrade is moving slowly. That gives DOT/ADA/AVAX etc. time to build an ecosystem. Projects like LINK are already multi-chain. I have over 1000 ETH, but I also have 10k DOT because I like to hedge my risks.

Yeah have you tried listening to yourself? ETH 2.0 is years away while DOT just released it's parachains (it's equivalent to sharding) and it actually works.

DOT gets things done. So while ETH gas fees are going to constantly increase DOT's solved that problem as well.

And think all this pumping is BEFORE the Coinbase listing. The flippening is inevitable.

Go for Kusama, smaller MC, more room for growth. Auctions coming up which is certain to cause a major demand increase. Mostly all Polka projects will first be on Kusama. Not shilling but it will give you better returns for the same risk as DOT.
