the writing is on the wall

we discovered something before they did

simple as

it doesn't matter what you hold - btc, eth, link, xmr, neo, uni, agi, bao, whatever the fuck you guys are talking about right now. we got it before they did. if you are deep into crypto, you are going to make it.

on top of this, they are killing their system.

cheers, boys.

I just wanted to make a comfy, life-affirming thread for my bros without shilling TOO hard but I will say to you in confidence that XMR is easily the #1 coin in the universe - just hang in there. I literally don't think anything else compares. Holding XMR right now is like holding BTC years ago. People don't get it.

But they will. There is a reason that $36 trillion USD is hidden overseas right now. Privacy is worth a lot of money to some people. Sooner or later, that money is coming to XMR. It would only take a fraction of the global tax haven market to drive XMR to $1M per coin. No joke, look into it.

Other projects will make it, too, but XMR is in a league of its own.

There is a lot of discussion on this available online, by people more knowledgeable than I am.

I personally think it's unpredictable technological threats (e.g. quantum computing) or economic shifts (e.g. markets deeming that crypto assets are heavily overvalued and not really useful, or otherwise superseded).

Governments are pretty shit at keeping up with tech. Regulation could cause bear markets but I don't think it would be global/uniform internationally nor do I think it would change the value proposition (so people would continue to trade it). I could be completely wrong though.

Despite the above, I am still betting about 1/3 of my net worth on crypto.

Nothing. So why exert any energy to even thinking about it? Also, here's some general advice because it's all very overwhelming at first, especially if you're not especially financially literate (don't know you obv).

Watch a shit ton of videos / listen to them. I mean a LOT. When you're eating, cleaning, whatever. Don't focus too much on jargon at first, you'll hear a lot of memes and technical words. Just kind of let yourself be a sponge, don't get hung up on specific concepts and terminology. As you start to get familiarized with the general crypto ethos and coin names, eventually start looking up terms that you've noticed repeat over and over. Just rinse and repeat you'll be on your way to being crypto literate. You're gonna make it bud.

Coin Bureau is my personal favorite for easy to understand, well paced, digestible videos, but there are insightful guys like Lark Davis and Sheldon Evans, but Guy @ Coin Bureau is my personal favorite personality on CryptoTube. He definitely has a "I've already made it, just want to expand crypto because I believe in it" vibe.

Binance is a good exchange, esp if you're not based in the US. If you're in the US I'd probably pick between Coinbase (then move to Coinbase Pro) or Binance US.

Inviting other anons to countersignal any of this, but that's my two cents.

Interesting to see so many /pol/ refugees here. What made you all come here? I was on /pol/ for years but mostly stopped after Trump won (which I celebrated with you all).

Either way, no matter how you got here, you're in the right place. Have a drink.

A mixture of memes and stories, I was bouncing between /pol and /biz the past year and I remember seeing all of the pink wojacks from the panic dec '19 and the panic made me laugh because I have never seen a catalogue have such a uniform color and meme.

That board is filled with tranny shills now, and they’re leaking into here too. The stormfags are almost as bad and they’ve made their way on here too. I’ve just completely stopped caring about politics, I miss when /pol/ used to be mostly right libertarian.

true libertarians don't give a fuck about politics bro. everyone on /biz/ is a libertarian at heart. that's why we're here. freedom.

Respect. And you are 100% correct. XMR is incredibly undervalued right now. But I would like to add that it's a moot point because the powers-that-be will inevitably outlaw non-KYC crypto and cave your fucking skull in if they find out you trade it or own it.

Yeah I pretty got severe burnout from social media. But the following things were really destroying my life.
>participating on reddit
>listening to youtube grifters
>participating in youtube comments
>playing an MMO (escapism)
>listening and watching news over the past year

I left my job before covid because of racial tension with coworkers. I got along with them, but they were starting to express /r/blackpeopletwitter and pro-black trends. I started to be someone they could not really talk social stuff to and the job stopped being fun. Then at home seeing my mom develop into a Trump supporter. And my best friend develop into a "Trump bad, Biden Good" dude. I watched them become slaves to their hormones and basic emotions.

Recently I was perma banned on Youtube and Reddit. And it gave me some time to reflect. Hey why am I wasting time with this? These sites don't want me to be myself, they're designed for me to be like everyone else. So it's been 3 weeks since I used reddit or replied to any youtube comments. Social media is dangerous. I still check /pol/ for news. But I don't really talk much on there.

As for the MMO habit. I was playing 12-16 hours a day, for a year straight. Eventually I dropped out of my game due to burn out. I haven't played in 4 months. I picked up Genshin Impact. Funny enough, it fills the void I desire from RPGs, but the gacha/mobile systems forces you to limit your playtime. I play for an hour and I logout. I haven't played more than 2 hours. It's been a godsend.

Now my mind is all about crypto. I want to make it.
