Good question anon. I was thinking about this a lot. Ultimately I think the best thing you can do is to be as reckless as you can and embrace it. This doesn't mean you should fuck over your fellow man, quite the opposite. But rather bend the rules and laws the way you have to, in order to make it.
Some people also become Christians. I think spirituality and establishing a relationship with your creator (you do not have to be Christian for that) is also one of the best thing you can do, to cope. That is at least what lifted my depression after several years. That being said, I still think it's terrible what happens (also with Corona), but I at least get out of bed in the morning. Even though I am not motivated to chase money anymore at this point, or a career.

It has severe productivity issues, it's lagging behind China and the USA in important things like software. The biggest EU companies are ancient and stagnant. More leverage through zany schemes. Taking London as an example you have these two

1) Shared ownership - you get a mortgage for a certain % of the property and pay rent on the rest
2) Equity loan - you get a loan from the government of up to 40% of the property value, the rest is financed through a normal bank mortgage. It's interest free for the first 5 years and after that you have to pay interest. It's an EQUITY loan meaning that it's calculated on the property value, if the price goes up you have to repay more and vice versa.

Third option is simple, multi generational loans (not uncommon in Japan)

Fucked. Refugees aren’t the problem and it certainly has more to do with just how small the UK is despite its high population. The government needs to find a creative solution to the housing shortage or just in general, crisis that’s been happening. We either need to make smaller houses while building flat (something which half the new houses or flats I’ve seen barely even do) or we build high, which seems to be more common. The issue is the we’re behind, and the designs are shit. Businesses after Grenfell know they can get away with cheating out on materials and also providing awful conditions of living.
Personally, all I want is a fucking kitchen, a bed in the corner and maybe a bathroom, a small one with a toilet and shower and sink. 2 rooms max. I’m fine with living in an apartment, but I don’t wanna pay rent.
