It's stressful because I'm expected to actually have produced something when the overall program of work is bs.

A large part of my job involves work that amounts to nothing more than me creating pointless plans, pointless meetings with many people, and with me adding zero value and visibly being a pointless bureaucracy creator. If I was in the office doing this then I'd probably have died from cringe by now at the sheer pointlessness of it all.

I saw the level of detail in someone else's pointless slide pack they made and I unironically had a heart palpitation.

It's just bullshit. There's the output of the company, which is valuable. Then there's the entire bureaucratic miasma behind that, where there are some inexplicably pointless areas like mine.

Yeah, but I'm not living in some wacky world that every other anon is living in.

The result of this isn't that I'll be paid for doing nothing for years while I get rich off dogecoin. There's no wacky story where a janitor beats up a pedophile like in yesterday's topic.

The end result will be me doing not much, or worthless crap, with lots of pointless but mandatory emails, word documents, excel files and slides in the interim, before a normie tells me that I should've showed more proactiveness.

You should read bullshit jobs. It talks about the phenomenon you're talking about OP most jobs today are irrelevant and redundant and should be done away with but aren't due to legislation from the communists in power since the 1940s

1. Work hard.

2. Get promoted.

3. Fire everyone in the level of beaurocracy below you, saving money for the company and impressing your boss.

>> No.26009892

>>26009795
The level of bureaucracy is often middle management tier. You have to be the big boss to fire them.

Had a few jobs like this after school. You can learn a lot about business from this kind of role. Read some good negotiation and practical psychology books. In terms of personal fulfilment though, as a man you're better off doing some minimum wage manual labour shit, at least you're getting muscles and endorphins. Either way save up and get trained in something you actually want to do.

This. I work at what seems to be a literal exit scam. Hoping to convert it to something of value but I think even the higher ups know they got lucky in a niche market with thoroughly average skills and have no plan on how to scale this up or if our niche will even exist in 5 years.

Do you have free time during your "job" to do actual fulfilling work on the side? Or at least to be entertained ie. can fool around on he internet. I don't remember shit from my first bullshit office jobs but I do remember the online poker I played while "working" (even though in the end I made more money from the "job" compared to only a few hundred on the poker)

Bureaucracy is not "pointless". It exists so that no individual can be blamed for the consequences of the group's decisions. It breaks up responsibility so finely that nobody can clearly point the finger (from the outside in anyway).

You are an important step in the process of providing a smokescreen to the people who are making a real difference. I hope this helps.
