What's considered swing trading is very subjective.

A few swing trading here and there aren't going to be worth the CRA hunting you down, because way too many people do it. Now if you started to buy stock and selling them back the next day, every day, or if most of your profit came from swing trades, that would be a different scenario.

If the percentage of money that come from swing trading is low enough, just keep a low profile. Don't even mention it, unless it's over 10% of your gains. Once in a while the "estimated costs" will project like 11 bucks for a 500€ buy on NYSE or whatever and then they randomly subtract another 30-50€ just like that without warning, really pisses me off.
