Alright, let me walk you through it

On "Create new wallet" tab, select "Standard Wallet", then on "Keystore" tab, select "Use a master key". If the key you have is your private key and not public key, you will be able to use your old wallet and send out the btc from it I believe.

If a dev team REALLY cares about their product and wants people to invest in it, they will be active on social media, their website, etc letting people know exactly what is going on with their project. Rory, sergeys social media manager, would post constant updates on links progress and changes being made in the dev team, sergey was attending conferences all the time and livestreaming them, etc. Good dev teams will show off while pump and dump scam teams will hide in the shadows

i use coinbase to buy eth then i move it to my metamask to swap it with other stuff, typically on uniswap. main reason i use coinbase is that its fast and im too lazy to care about the fees, but the fees are indeed bullshit. coinbase pro has less fees but i think you have to hold your coins there for like a week or something until you can move them out, not sure about that... havent tried any other on-ramp. if/when you use uniswap make sure its the real one (https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap)), there are many fakes out there that will try to get you to give them access so they can drain your wallet.

I see XMR as my stablecoin. It has small moons, and slowly increases. If you want to set and forget, Monero is always a good choice, because it's not going anywhere. Delists and other government action won't stop it. You would make more money elsewhere, though.
