Which luxury car brand is the best "investment"? Meaning the most reliable engineering (less problems), cheaper maintenance, overall superior quality. Let's limit it to the main tier of benz/bmx/audi/lexus etc.

Most reliable? Cross off Range Rover, Land Rover and Jaguar from that list.
Porsche, BMW and Lexus are all based and rank well for reliability. I'm not about to LARP and act like I know firsthand what kind of reliability you get from a Ferrari, but reliability aside the name itself will slow down the depreciation and if you land the right model it could be highly sought after in the future.

>> No.25970841

Seconding Lexus. Only luxury car that actually delivers a semblance of the quality that you're paying a premium for for when you buy a luxury car. ES350 is built on the indestructible Corolla K platform and there are many with 500k+ miles that have never had anything done to them other than oil change and, idk, fucking spark plugs or whatever.

That said, just getting a high trim Corolla or Prius or even a fucking Avalon still makes more sense for most people.

No car is an "investment". They all depreciate except for exceedingly rare unicorn models that are valued by collectors when they're decades old. That being said, the brand with the best resale value according to market research is Lexus.

>>25969529
Yes, it's not even comparable. I have driven both. Lexus is a legit luxury brand and driving one is a different experience than a Toyota. Just because Toyota Corp owns the Lexus brand doesn't mean Toyota Camry = Lexus ES350. Volkswagen auto group owns the Bentley brand, that doesn't make a VW Passat the same thing as a Bentley Mulsanne. . .

Older Subaru's hold up their value pretty well.

When winter comes, you can sell it for more.

I've bought a blown engine 05 WRX in May last year for 1000$. I replaced the engine with a fresh one and put some fancy parts on it.
