25893186 No.25893186 [Reply] [Original]

im literally a 25 year old loser with no skills but 500k in crypto
i quit my job making 15$ an hour because i was going to learn how to trade
now i think trading crypto is not a great option because i rarely if ever make winning trades. I progressed past the point of making big losses, to small losses, and now most of the time i seem to come out even. I think Im just too low IQ to trade crypto.
The thing is im not sure what to do i dont see the point in working some shitty 15$ an hour job when the unemployment ubi gibs will pay me roughly the same if not more...
I am literally trading my future away. I lost 30 eth on a trade back when it was cheap and now that shit was worth 40k for a couple mins and will likely be half a mill in the future
I dont want to keep trading away my cryptos that will be worth 10x more soon.
I tried playing runescape to pass the time but felt like a shameful loser degenerate.

Sell it all, crypto is fucked. Spend the next 2 weeks (after you sell) figuring out how to shelter your money from the government, that should be your full time job.

Your next full time job is to find a good fund for income, if you made 4% on that you could potentially live off that.

Finally you figure out what interests you and go do that, for money, even if you get paid very little at first you'll get a taste of doing something productive and learn what you like and what you value. You're right and i have accepted it... my mind is weak to the dopamine... my biggest weakness when trading is patience. I will check no nonsense forex, I actually tried trading forex for a couple days i still have 5k usd on oanda i think.
You are 100% right about the dopamine rushes... that is likely why I am so quick to be angry for a losing trade or switch between long and short if i enter position and then it goes a little bit against me then i don't get the dopamine rush i crave and close it out then flip at a loss and get double dipped. Both on fees and losses.

If you learn rules in forex, those are the same for every kind of trading.
To get consistent gains in trading, you need a strong discipline, after 1 year studying i still make mistakes.

Regardless of how long it took you to gte to where you are, there is a clear upward trend in your general trading competency. I'd say keep going, because if you manage to get a decent grip on trading, you can make substantial profit. Even if your trades are only decent on average, the sheer size of your budget will make you more than an extremely experienced trader with a small budget. But regardless of all that, don't go crazy and take massive risks just because you have a lot of money, because that's how people lose all of their money. Just keep growing as a trader, looking at the news for stocks daily and developing your own strategy, as well as adopting good practices along the way. Here are three good stock YouTube channels I recommend, because they are successful while staying humble (i.e. they aren't fags who sell you a dream with lambos and millions of bucks like that Ricky Gutierrez fag): Deadnsyde, Vincent Chan, and Richard Allan.

Maybe the answer lies within your investing strategy. How did you manage to accumulate 500k, did you had a lot of money to invest or did you start early? My point is that you can turn those 500k into 5mil + eventually. Don't trade, focus on investing if its working for you so good.

I would say diversify your investments, maybe get into stocks or real estate a bit. Also, for someone that sits at the computer all day you have to see a lot of things that interest you. Maybe start a business, try a few things out, that's how you'll find your niche. That's what I'm doing. For example, pick a hobby and dedicate a few months to see how you feel about it.

So i just spend a couple hundred at costco and thats it for the month. I got really luckily really that I had a ton of cash on hand during the march crash and bought tons of crypto at basically the bottom of that massive wick.
you cannot make 500k on a "shitty wage" by 25. LARP or you're not telling something. Let me guess you inherited daddy money? I hope you lose it all if so, piece of shit.

be autistic with the amount of research that you do with your trades. a coworker of mine told me about XRP in september, so i did an insane amount of research. i felt confident that it was a good currency with utility, so i invested. i am still HODLing and i believe in it. also have confidence in your trades, just by reading your text i can tell you’re trading to make money and not being confident

Dont do "trading" you fucking moron. You made 500k, dont bungle this up, dont get cocky. Just buy good coins with it (Link, BTC, ETH, etc) and lay low. Take some out if you need a break from waging but thinking you'll become a professional "trader" is a surefire way to JUST yourself

i dont think normies understand the concept of living within your means...
i barely spend any money per month and my gf and i are happy
dont need to eat out or buy fancy stuff. We just cook great healthy meals and have one car. I mostly bike places to kill two birds in one stone. Exercise/travel plus its free.
Of course I want to travel to some other countries to see what its like but month to month its so easy to not spend... most just dont seem to understand

You need to become an income producer or you'll constantly be chasing lotto tickets rest of your life (sorry, that includes the $500k you made during the great bull run). Start learning to code or set up an online biz or figure out real estate investing. Don't waste time trying to become the next best trader, you got lucky like almost all of us biz fags did. I would say start with the beginner courses on codeacademy, they are free and high quality. Give it a few weeks to see how you feel about it and then proceed to more advanced courses. Two people got to the top of a mountain. One took the elevator, but the other hiked all the way up. The one with a free ride was happy at first, but quickly disappointed and left. The one that struggled for days climbing the mountain was elated and joyous, for he had earned it. It's the journey and struggle that gives life purpose, meaning, and ironically, more joy and peace than a free ride

$100k downpayment on a house
$50k for spending money + vehicle (trade in your old one)
Put the rest in a property (maybe two if they're pretty cheap properties) and the rest in stable and high-yield assets.

Use your stimulus money and tax returns to take a few moonshots and just kick back and enjoy your life anon.

Get a few hobbies. Take some vitamin D and a few adaptogens daily. Work out daily or at least run like half a mile.

OP, stop trying to trade. 99% of jobs pay you a wage with no risk of losing money, dont choose the one that's zero sum against PHD autists who spend 16 hours a day staring at charts & order books.
A lot of the prop traders i personally know say that in the past month or two, they have made more from their long term crypto holdings than their day trading.

Pick a job that fulfills you, and allows you time to spend with the people that bring you happiness. day trading is a ticket to being stuck inside on the computer for too long, and when youre not on it you get that feeling of "i should be on it, what if i'm not making money right now".
