ICE cars will eventually be phased out of production. Musk said it himself; sustainable energy is inevitable because the alternative is literally unsustainable. Tesla is at the forefront in both designing and manufacturing their electric cars as well as chargers, batteries and everything else related to it. Other car manufactures will probably catch up to them in vehicle sales which means a new life for the entire automotive industry in terms of production and cash flow.

The reason I suspect this is because Tesla will eventually be better off producing the batteries and equipment needed to maintain electric cars, especially chargers. People are wondering why Tesla stock is through the roof with so little vehicle production. Well it's because they're not a car company, they're a tech company that happens to produce cars. This brings it back to my previous assumption that other car companies like VW, Toyota, Daimler etc. will eventually surpass Tesla again in terms of actual car sales.

They know they have to restructure their production and phase out ICE cars, and they have the capital to fund that transition. Every single quarterly and annual report from every single car manufacturing conglomerate is saying the same and saying they will focus on the transition to electric.
