No, your idea isn’t going to be stolen. I’ll start with a few.

Rate each other’s and provide feedback.

Most of you guys aren’t cut out for owning a business, in the traditional sense. Talking about multiple employees, offices, bank accounts etc.

Most of you are better off doing freelancing and then scaling it with outsourcing.

Original ideas are cringe and hard unless you have a true passion for your idea. Trying to tap into a new market isn't worth it if you're just trying to make money. You're better off stealing existing business models and being better at whatever they're doing and marketing it better. Copying and innovation is the foundation of capitalism, so do it with no shame. Find something you think you can do better and just do it.

You don't have to take on the risk of finding an efficient way to do shit nor figure out whether people even want your product/service.

Here's a genuine business idea: look at a pre-existing, lucrative and in demand service that exists in some other city or area, but not in yours, and start your own. It will likely require work and a profitable business model to get up and running, it won't be some shitty little app you put together, push out, one and done. That's what most of your ideas sound like and it's why people say ideas are a dime a dozen.

I’m thinking about making a platform which would let people predict the price of any asset over a period of time just by drawing their prediction of the price curve, and then averaging all the curves to get a community prediction and displaying that on top of the real price chart.

Here are some ways I can imagine to monetize it:

- Run prediction “rounds” every day/week/month where users can pay a fee with their prediction to become eligible for winning a portion of all the fees collected if their prediction was among the most accurate in the round.

- Sell the prediction data to financial companies which are doing technical analysis and could integrate the data into their models.

This is a good idea to gauge market sentiment. If it becomes big enough it could become self-fulfilling where the "projected model" just becomes the actual model people follow. I don't know what would be the economic implications of that though.

Take over a couple major highway tolls by force, raise toll price and set a few examples right up front. If this doesn't work, then create new tolls on stretches of highway where there are currently no tolls. Start with very high prices right away and set a few examples up front. If this doesn't work out then find a way to secure a gas station, then sell the gas for a little bit lower than all the others in the area. Also blow them up if possible. Then go somewhere else and repeat. If that doesn't work then start a social media company, operate in the red for years and years while collecting users and getting funded by VCs who are desperate to invest in anything because the Fed is pinning rates and pushing everyone out the risk curve. Capture the entire user market and erect impossibly high barriers to entry, then do communism.

An aquarium shop that focuses on aquascaping with an in-store cafe for customers.

Unique selling point would be budget dry start set ups or aquascaping for beginners, so they can make beautiful looking tanks without having tonnes of money and experience.

There would be a step by step guide on how to start up a new tank and kits that would be sold in 2.5gal 5 gal , 10 gal , 20 gal, 50 gal for a beginner dry start set up.

This would include:
>tank
>light
>hang on back filter
>potting mix, black sand to top it
>hardscape/wood of their choice (a certain amount would be included in the kit and extras can be bought seperately
>spray bothttps://www.binance.com/entle for the dry start
>carpeting plant of their choice (more plants can be bought seperately)

There would be an infograph of how to create a dry start tank in-store as well as examples of them and examples of different aquascaping styles and stocking choices for different sized tanks. There would also be a step by step youtube video to accomodate this.

Pic related is what a completed tank would look like. I made it for around £30, which is incredibly cheap for aquascaping and fishkeeping. I would aim for the cheapest kit to be sold to be a similar price. This is stocked with blue shrimp.

The one I've been sitting on because I don't have the expertise is a debate app that weights your upvotes/downvotes by how similar you are to the person you're supporting/demeriting. People who others rate as respectful, knowledgeable, and articulate get their conversations elevated to the front page more often, and are able to speak longer or rebut more before a debate is closed. Debates can be live through voice and text or message board-style, and users can view without interacting. Through this design, you heavily mitigate the echo chamber effect and foster informed and constructive argument.

From there, you could start to build behavioral profiles, quantize them, and sell those scores and reports to other companies. You essentially privatize social credit with insight Facebook couldn't even begin to access. As you've driven usage of the app into ubiquity, with it being used as a platform of record for important conversations, people become less volatile and more willing to work with each other. America is saved.

Oh, sorry, described it wrong. The LESS like the person you're judging you are, the MORE your positive judgments count and the LESS your negative judgments count. The closer you are to that person, flip it.

So if a Neo Nazi upvotes a Jewish woman's comment, it gains massively in stature. If a NASCAR fan upvotes a rodeo competitor's, less so. The algorithm makes no value judgments, it simply compares how similar two users are by the state of their text, the communities they frequent, and whatever other information can be gleaned a la Twitter's ad engine.

An outdoor grocery store chain that advertises an "authentic" farmers' market experience, when in reality it's just a repackaged grocery store that saves massively on heating, electricity, and other expenses that come with operating indoors.

>Build a big warehouse in a field somewhere in nowhere suburbia, but close enough to the city that it isn't a hassle to get there.
>One side of the warehouse has bays for offloading produce, the other side has a façade that resembles a wooden barn or some shit.
>Staff come in early to set up tents in the field outside, on the side with the barn façade so it isn't as obvious that you're directly next to a warehouse.
>The same staff then work the various stalls as if they were vendors.
>The market is divided into different sections like a typical grocery store. There are stalls for vegetables, meat, dairy, etc.
>Everything is promoted as being organic/natural/GMO free/whatever buzzwords you want to throw at it.

>Why would anyone go to this instead of a regular grocery store?
Because Zoomers and millennials can easily be tricked into buying what they believe is a superior or more authentic product through aesthetics alone. They'll even pay more for it, look at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or any upscale grocery store as an example. There's also the unspoken appeal of not having to interact with actual farmers, as most of these rich city dwelling 20-somethings can't stand interreacting with actual laborers. All that matters is the store's image and how effectively it can be presented.

Theoretically it can support up to 144p video, so yeah its potato quality, but there are still a few marketable use cases.

backup surveillance systems, machine vision, safety gear for linemen and motorcyclists (see behind you), probably more.

I've thought about what the next form of social media would look like. I'd like to create a decentralized gofundme-like, but with a different mission. The aim of this site would be to identify local, national, and international goals that we, as humankind, want to accomplish.

The site would have 2 separate parts: a funding site with mission descriptions and goals, and an anonymous chat board.

It's obvious from other social media networks that the ability to have a 'handle' or self identify leads to corruption on the network.

I'd rather get reviews from actual friends or people with social capital (people my friends trust).

The promise of Facebook was that you'd get the best word of mouth reviews because they're from friends you trust. That never happened. Nextdoor is the closest thing to it but it's still relative strangers. Twitter was supposed to be like that because you're following people and it was originally based on SMS. Remember Foursquare? WTF happened? I was promised greater connection and I feel more alone than ever.

why don't you faggots just aim for something actually achievable like a service business

My brother in law who's a complete redneck alcoholic retard makes thousands every winter because he bought a super expensive high end snowblower and clears people's driveways. Like I'm talking in a single winter this guy could pull in anything from 5k to 50k and all he did was buy a big ass snowblower, put it in his truck, and clear old rich people's driveways.

Literally anything like what I detailed above, some type of landscaping or lawn service type of thing, is extremely cheap and easy to set up and can have some pretty massive returns.

Google for medical problems. Someone can list a bunch of symptoms and some metadata such as country, season with an algorithm which tne scours the national databases for some general population statistics of that country to return the most probable illness. It could also return a bunch of self-tests or queries with which the patient could use and help the algorithm rule out additional conditions and ultimately help diagnose, or at least pinpoint, some of the most likely conditions the guy "googling" it has, which would then be sent (or supplied to by the patient) to the doctor.

I got one.
It pertains to company/institutional review websites like glassdoor or collegeprowler.
My belief is that these websites garner fake reviews. (I don't have concrete evidence that this is the case, it's more based off a hunch.)
So I think it would be lucrative for someone to create a service/website that verifies who's actually reviewing the business, without giving out their identity (like when it's actually posted on the website.)
Marketing and sales should be easy and effective. It would just be about convincing the masses that they’re getting real reviews from people who've worked/attended these places, not some human resources/public relations dipshit you’d find on a competitor’s website. Also, the current sentiment for a lot of America is that we can't trust our institutions.
The sales pitch could also include the methodology of attaining these accurate reviews. Shit like, “we had psychologists determine whether-or-not they were giving an impartial review.”
It would be a subscription based: you’d be selling access to honest reviews about a number of companies/institutions. More companies/institutions, the subscription gets more expensive.

My business idea is that I grow landscaping trees and sell them to nurseries. I figure if I can rotate a tree that grows in 2 years monthly, I can have a tree shipment going out each month. Trees are expensive, so I can sell relatively few for large gains. I can also use the land that isnt for trees as a homestead and be self sufficient so I can dump all my income into the market and make my numbers go up without ever really benefitting. Or use my big numbers to buy more land and start a community of tree farmers that- well I better not say.

- Determine how much a prediction will affect the community average by how old the account is, or by prediction ELO (making meme predictions will tank your ELO)

- Require a fee/stake to count toward the average, could weight predictions by how much they staked
