I'm a bit concerned about staking in the short term and on release. First the Q1 claim from staked.us is totally unsubstantiated, but even if true, I don't know if staking will be available or profitable for regular LINK holders (unless you have a lot of LP). I'm still never selling though.

If it gets released now it will pump the price, but it will mainly allow new high value use cases to replace the lower value transactions and could take away most of the network resources including from the price aggregation nodes.

I think everyone with small stacks will be using pools, where risk is low. So I'm not expecting a sell off but I do expect variable returns, probably decreasing (by percentage) over mid to long timeframe.

I'm not sure if NEET nodes will ever exist. And I expect staking release to be limited to slowly increasing numbers of trusted oracle providers. The layman probably won't be able to stake on release. The first pool to serve the masses will probably have poor returns initially simply because of the huge numbers signing up. I regret not buying some LP. As I understand it, LP holders will be given first opportunity to stake in LP pools.

Taxes are not a big issue. Been holding nearly 3 years.
I live in a no tax state , fed tax only.
Also not having a job has been a tremendous tax advantage.
Good news is that if your only source of income is from long term gains your gains up to 75K
is tax free and anything above that up to 450K is taxed at 15% Fed. No state tax for me too.
