/pol/ here; recent events have made it abundantly clear that freedom of speech has no future on mainstream sites. which type of crypto will fund alt-tech in the future? which is the most secure and fast while also having wide adoption? looking to invest long-term

I don't think that crypto will solve these tech censorship problems.
codemonkey did great work with susucoin / susukino.
It had board integration for preserving important posts on a blockchain, but it never really went anywhere and its hard to get now. I can't really recommend it, though... or think of any other crypto that solves this problem well.

If you want to build a censorship resistent platform IPFS and Bitcoin is all you need.
IPFS hosts Uniswap a completely decentralized and non-kyc exchange, it hasn't been taken down because IPFS is decentralized. If you are concerned about domains you can use unstoppable domains.
The solutions to build are there and people have already build financial services on them.
Tl;dr just invest into bitcoin.

I don't think looking for the secure and fastest is the best way to look at crypto. Right now BTC is acting as a hedge against fiat currencies and the central banking system. If you think about transacting money as speech, then bitcoin is the most free speech coin in existence. It doesn't matter if you are ISIS, North Korea, or a Dentist in Texas trying to send a transaction. All transactions are treated the same. Censorship resistance is one of the most important qualities of bitcoin. No entity can stop you from transacting with another person anywhere in the world. In terms of funding the future of free speech, bitcoin will be used by people who are the most censored. It has by far the most adoption and the most secure network. The best use of blockchain will always be monetary goods like bitcoin and monero. I don't know much about the AI IoT DeFi smart contract oracle buzzword stuff in the space. I am sure a lot of altcoins have potential for decentralized platforms, but centralized services like gab are fine at the moment since they can hand millions of customers. Overall, BTC will be most involved with financial freedom in the future

Several delegates of the National People's Congress have voted to impeach President Xi Jinping after he incited his supporters to storm The Great Hall of the People.

Among the supporters were Qi-gonganon conspiracy theorists, yellow supremacy extremsists and several CCP officials of the provinces as well as a few wellknown red guard militias.

Several members of the CCP and United Front Coalition Parties and even independents urge vice president Wang Qishan to rule the remainder of his life long term.

Xi Jinping has been accused of encouraging violence with his slogans such as "China Dream" and "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era".

The social media platforms Weibo and WeChat have now suspended Xi's accounts. Citing their rules of conduct.

Many Chinese are now raising the question "where were the PLA?" and comparisons of the PLA response to Tiananmen Square incident are all across social media.

Though others say it's a racial issue - "if they were Cantonese this would have played out different" says Beijing resident Wang Lee.

Critiques have argued that Xi should just be allowed to serve out his term. "We'll just have to wait his entire life and he'll be gone" said Wu Weihua of the Jiusan Society to the People's Daily.

The Xi supporters were seen stealing the shoes of premier Li Keqiang and ransacked several offices of the Great Hall of the People.

"China Dream" supporters are now planning several other rallies all across the People's Republic.

You're thinking wrong, you don't need "special" platforms

All crypto aims to be "decentralized, censorship resistant" and all that bullshit, so it doesn't matter which project that'll be

For example Ethereum devs are all leftists, liberals or commies yet you should be able to do whatever you want on their platform, because if not then it shows that their values mean nothing and it's neither decentralized or censorship resistant.
Everyone stating otherwise is a hypocrite and a liar.
