>insane amount of fud (both funny and high quality)
>enormous amount of high quality memes
>both are high IQ projects that you won't fully get at first glance
>insider jokes keeping normies/redditors away (for instance, LINK: jason parser, STA: nigerian terror cell fud)
>funny insider jokes about the team (LINK: Sergey and his burgers, STA: Souvlaki and his sex castles/Megan and her estradiol treatment etc...)
>high quality fud (LINK: Zeus Capital, STA: Statera Health)
>100% /biz/ projects, very few outsiders knew about LINK in the beginning and currently they do not know about STA
>both have very autisticly intelligent founders (Sergey and Scott)
>STA twitter is very silent, much like LINK was allowing /biz/ to accumulate under the radar
>both have a very dedicated/cultish community
>very similar logo colors/neat and similar design
>both have massive profit potential
>both are defi projects (defi = future of finance)
>both were born during a similar king of altseason (LINK: ICO season, STA: DeFi Summer)
>LINK used to have a lot of copycats/project killers early on which all flopped, so does STA (stonks, XMM, statera gold/diamond...) all despite not even being a known project outside of /biz/ and being a smallcap coin
>a large % of STA wallets include LINK (since both are /biz/ projects it makes sense they have partly the same community and might just be a coincidence)

Regardless of what you think about Statera, I'd argue that it's too risky not to hold.

Interesting I can see this now. I thought about it. A decentralized oracle network is a DeFi concept — always thought of LINK as more of a DeFi vehicle than inherently DeFi itself. Oh well, buy Statera.

All the wrapping/unwrapping and even just pooling is pretty fucking high IQ stuff considering so many normies have trouble even buying crypto off of Binance (perhaps they can figure out Coinbase by themselves). I would imagine it's kind of like how bitcoin was complicated in its early days. Once these things become easier to do the space will explode. The problem is that people don’t understand what STA is. It’s an arbitrage generator for AMM pools.

If you believe in AMM liquidity pooling long term you believe in STA. Balancer Pools once perfected (unlimited number of assets, variable ratios) will be THE defacto way to HODL in a non-custodial way. Investments need portfolios, portfolios need rebalancing. Balancer automatically rebalances for you WITHOUT TRIGGERING REALIZED GAINS and gives you passive income far higher than what you can expect from most loaning platforms ESPECIALLY for blue chips.

In short it supercharges liquidity pools by boosting the returns by a crazy amount just because of the way the token works and interacts with the ecosystem it’s in. It’s too complex to summarize in one post in all honesty. The whitepaper is there but that will get an update soon as well since wrapped Statera solved a lot of issues it had before, most notably the liquidity issue (people not wanting to pool because of pure greediness/waryness of impermanent loss)

Then skimming a white paper — checking sure the graph is in a healthy place — and then seeing fudders vs holders arguments about it. Asking questions — hard questions and understanding the thing. If it’s worth it I read the whole white paper. I haven’t ever lost money (in dollar, I’ve definitely bled sats, but if I was a maxie I would just hold Bitcoin) on a token yet. Because high volume means the burn is crazy high if the token price is low, meaning price must be priced up to a point where the burn isn’t as insane anymore. If it doesn’t, then supply will decrease and the price automatically gets pushed up (again, assuming it’s used, deflation without a use-case is worthless, which isn’t the case for STA if it’s used). He's right though. Balancer devs said statera was almost and I quote "gaming the system" since it was so highly effective, even outperforming top liquidity pairs with a fraction of the liquidity. Previous peak when the volume was only 3M or so, the APY was 1000% for a bit, mostly ranging around 100%. It's freakishly insane when you think about it. If it was any other project I would be suspicious (think ORB with the million APY) but they refunded 1M USD worth of tokens after the Balancer failure when it wasn't even their fault, as such a young and a smallcap project. They don't own enough to rugpull even if they wanted to.

As for how the token works, simply put the pool balances the tokens and whenever the pool interacts with STA the 1% burn is triggered, leading to more volume and fees. This also creates arb opportunities out of thin air, increasing fees. The pools ripple back and forth and create volume for one another because if say wrapped statera was bought in one pool then another pool would have to sell it because the price went up, and then deflation kicks in and creates a new instance of re-balancing.

I think Bitcoin is different because it has more miners and useage than the other clones and therefore there is incentive to use it from a security point of view.

If exact clones of statera are made which all behave the same as statera, what would be the advantage of using statera over a clone surely there is no inherent advantage in using statera. Would the extra supply introduced by the clones not effectively counteract the 'deflationary' effect of statera by effectively increasing the supply

I remember when powh was shilled here, it was like a money printer a lot of people made money off of it until a load of clones sprung up and drained some of the profits then people got rekt. I'm trying to figure out if statera will end up the same way.

Perhaps, but why would the clones ever be favored? They would need to have some kind of advantage over STA, wouldn't they? And it's likely that volume getting split up wouldn't matter at that point, as STA has matured by then and grown larger. It could be listed on a BIG CEX (the community doesn't want anything else than Binance/Kucoin/Coinbase) but it would likely only ever happen if they were offered a very low price or even for free, which would happen with more volume.

Another question. Will statera be implemented on other dapp platfoms in the future eg Polkadot Cosmos, Zilliqa, Radix, Avax?
Either via REN wrapping if the intention is to keep the supply the same or via clones if that is not an issue?
If they plan to wrap via REN then I could see that making statera a better investment as it would have access to more liquidity pools, if they plan to code it on other platforms then I'll try and get in those clones early.

There is no way to replace STA. After everything it has gone through. It’s unkillable. If a professional team would try to mimic then that’s not true DeFi, Statera is exactly what DeFi stands for as the team wallet has little funds to do anything malicious after the unfortunate (but fortunate as it is now truly decentralized) Balancer event back in summer.
