All those salty nocoiners, holy shit normies make me sick. The resolve this kid must have had to hold onto that Bitcoin through its tumultuous ups and downs is insane.

This kid's an idiot, I doubt he even knows how bitcoin works. He legitimately just got lucky that his brother showed him this apparently.

There is no situation in which foregoing a high school and college education is a good idea unless you're legitimately a self taught savant who already knows everything. And even in that case, you're missing out on chances to practice important social skills. This kid is acting as if he's accomplished something by convincing his parents to "let" him not go to college, claiming he "won" his bet. He didn't win, this is a stupid decision

And a million dollars is nothing if you don't know how to manage it safely (not putting it towards moon missions) and have an entire adult life left to live still.

this is how you spot a lefty. they think events are just random, and if you see a revolutionary technology that people will obviously want to use without it being wrapped up in marketing and you get rich by investing it, that to a left is just 'luck'. You just got lucky. There's no free will, in the lefts world or any reason to look at big picture and multiperspective analysis. They just look at their headlines and misinterpret data to fit their world view. They can't read people let alone make eye contact, so they think it is always a mystery what other people think, and that they can somehow keep secrets from others who can read body language and response times and etc. They think intuition is just something you randomly feel in your gut that never has any bearing in reality and is more often wrong than not because some headline of some science report they read. THey're basically disconnected, deteritorialized from the world .That's why they suck.

But he's right you know.

Have you ever thought about why it is, that most of the successful people are right wingers?

Lefties are only lefties till they make it, some stay lefties in their rhetoric after the fact, but their actions reflect otherwise; tax evasion, capital hoarding etc.

Being a lefty is a coping mechanism to deal with the fact that you wont ammount to anything out of the ordinary in life.

That is why lefties are so obsessed with equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity.
If someone is being more succesful, it MUST be because of some injustice, it can never be because of hard work, dedication, skills etc.

Lefties will always try to drag others down with them to their level, misery seeks company.

I can damn near guarantee that if I gave one hundred 17 year old kids $100,000 to start a business (or whatever this guy had in BTC), they would do as well or better than this kid.

It's awesome that the kid is a millionaire by 18 - if he invests that wisely and lives a humble/modest life, he may not have to work (much) for the remainder of his years. But praising him as the next Bill Gates for basically pulling the right slot machine at the right time is asinine.

I can't reveal specifics, we already have enough coasties moving here for cheap houses, to the degree that we even have public protests by democrats now. It's frightening. > Nobody is "coping" - we've all admitted that it's awesome he hit the BTC lottery. Great job on his part. The danger is that people are going to see this kid and think gambling on crypto is better than obtaining a worthwhile degree or skill-set is a better or more reliable path to financial security/success. There were tons of kids who dropped out of college because, "lmao Mark Zuckerburg, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates did it and they're BILLIONAIRES!" - guess how many of them are silicon valley wizkids? A small fucking few. Terrible terrible gamble.

> There's nothing wrong with a sobering dose of reality to offset this ginormous circlejerk.

Being this salty holy shit. Dude it's okay, you have taken some time to learn Bitcoin and you're probably got like a $10k portfolio but irl you're still in your shit job, -$100k for that film degree, gay up the ass, voted for Hillary, and live in an overly expensive City. Anyone who is successful and didn't struggle as hard you doesn't mean they're lucky, and just because they don't further project the "Le college" stable life meme doesn't mean they're assholes. The only ass hole is you cause you want everyone everywhere to do the same thing as you thinking that you know what's better for them than they do. If he's as successful as he is at this point he probably doesn't need college and that's okay not everyone does and yes, it's okay to say that publicly. If someone is influence and doesn't go to college and fails, that's their freedom. You're just an egalitarian who wants everyone to believe the same indoctrinating path of life you have taken and you're jealous of anyone who successfully doesn't follow it, so shut the fuck up you fag.

>And a million dollars is nothing if you don't know how to manage it safely (not putting it towards moon missions) and have an entire adult life left to live still.

So much this.
I am a financial advisor and could tell you countless stories about people that got scammed or talked into investing into big shit / lending relatives money (without seeing it ever again) / started spending big / crashed the company they inherited, because they thought they "know" something better.
And I am not even talking about the kids.

Also 1 million is a big lump of money, but its effectiveness is practically zero, when you have no clue what to do with it. A neet can life with it forever. A normal guy can life from it around 25-30 years. If you want to have more (like buying a good car every 2 years, wearing expensive clothes, buying a house/appartment in a quiet suburban area etc.) it usually lasts around 10 years. At most.
And as he has not even a diploma, he has no solid education.
He has not done anything that makes him like Zuckerberg or Gates.
He has nothing but a big lump of money.

At such young age, wealth is a danger if these kids get no advise from professionals like me, he is no exception.
And if he would have a good advisor, he would stop making himself the laughing stock of the internet. With his attitude, the best he can hope for, is to be in talk shows and life from the attention of the media. But for this, he needs to be pretentious AND smart. And if I look into his attempts to get attention, he is by far not smart enough to capitalize his pretentiousness.

Disclaimer: my job alone (including bonuses) nets me around 1/8th of that money per year & my wife also adds some more. Dont think college is bullshit - if you are good and smart, you smile at the kid and hope that he wakes up to reality before his fortune is gone completely. Because otherwise he most likely takes the easy way out.
Pic related.

I can think of a handful of families from my youth that were all well to do wealthy types and their kids were so fucking smart it was almost unbelievable. & not stuck up or full of themselves either, just genuinely smart as hell and very sociable.

& then I remember other 12 year olds that seemed like they must be only half their age for how they act.

But I can't help but think how hard a lot of these people work just to live pay check to pay check. I haven't worked in like 5 years because of crypto (though I need to go to college or some shit before my brain competely dries up) and it makes me realize how lucky I am when my friends are stoked beyond belief to have that 1 day off of work this week etc... or that they have to save up working 40 hours a week for three months to go on a weekend trip somewhere, when I can literally just go and fuck off whenever I want.

If it would be as easy as that, people would not pay people like me to do their finance.

Take a low inflation into account, expenses for living of about ~2k per month and buying your house/flat, you do end up with roughly 25 years, give or take 3. You wont even need to work in this time. But after that, you only have your flat/house, nothing else. Best you can hope for then to make a living is asking "mayonaise or ketchup?", because nobody other than McDonals will hire you.

But this is not what his ego will lead him to. From what little I saw from him, he seems to like wearing a bit more expensive stuff. Addition: in this case, you are far away from living a life which is considered "tony stark"-level. For this, you need - at least - one additional zero on your account.
And if he starts to have kids, you can deduct at least 10 years of this time for every child.

It is basically the same life a below average college graduate from a below average course of studies can expect after college. The only difference is that one of them needs to go to work, can grow his income through his career. The other one is mumbling "I am a genius" in his house and needs to count his money, so it is enough for him to die before it runs out.

> expenses for living of about ~2k per month and buying your house/flat,

I live by myself pretty happily on less than a thousand per month. You'd be surprised how little you can spend if you focus on learning (which only consumes books which you can borrow for free at a library, or internet resources), honing skills like programming and having fun with implementations you come up with, and so forth. Eyeryone is different, but most people want indeed what you wrote.

If you dont pay any rent, you usually bought the house/flat. One million is now about down to 700.000, if you buy a "normal" house. Down to 500k if you buy a big one for a real good price.
How about your health insurance?
Gas and insurance for the car?
Property taxes, insurance and maintenance for the house?
Even if you own your house, you can pay like 10k for it every year for it alone.
The leftovers of the 2k are not as big as they seem. You can life a decent life, but like I said: far far far away from "tony stark"-levels but way way more like "average joe"-level.

Australia... hard to tell, I usually do this for clients in the EU.

However these savings are a good point to start. Cash out gradually from cryptos (diversify not only in cryptos bus also in general) and buy a flat with 2-3 rooms for renting it our to e.g. students (I dont know about the australian market for owners, so this might be a bad idea in your area).

Gradually grow your income via cryptos then (stay away from margin trading) and take what you got from the flat to pay for it. Then diversify even more into e.g. index funds.

From there on, contact someone like me. There, you just need to remember: if he/she wants to sell you something (besides her/his salary) before the 3rd date, he wants to con you.
1st date: getting to know each other
2nd date: validating informations
3rd date: he/she offeres options and explains stuff to you

Good luck, anon.

There were also a couple of things you forgot to include, namely that the sheer amount of interest (even if assuming only a 2% per annum from a bank savings account) on that lump sum would probably be enough to cover a lot of your expenses (if not all of it) on a yearly basis ($1mil would be $20k/year, $850k $17k/year. I manage to live on this much per year without going into debt or being impoverished or unhappy)
>>2580135
A good house can cost you $50-100k at most in a good but undervalued area, usually rural.
>How about your health insurance?
Covered by free government healthcare
>blah insurance etc.
easily covered by interest. If you're not an idiot and don't run your property items down, know how to repair and maintain your vehicle and house, it's really not that costly. Doing work yourself where possible with materials you can buy at your local hardware store is very cheap.
>far far far away from "tony stark"-levels
No one's saying we could live like that with one million. In fact I would never desire to live like that even if I had an unlimited quantity of money. The guy who actually made a million is trying to make more with it, which is why he's trying to look the part. Maybe he'll succeed, maybe he won't. I'd cash out at that point personally.

You're political ideology is largely a reflection of your personality and temperment. People are far more likely to vote based on their temperment rather than reason or logic. I don't think money changes your personality very much it just gives you the ability to say "fuck you" to everyone without a second thought.

You can come up with right and left-wing rationales for tax evasion, capital hoarding, success (or lack of it).
