it's not a CORE clone. It's original code, people are actively discouraged by the team to create LP tokens, and told to buy them on the market instead. Some people who actually spent money creating LP tokens are being airdropped extra LP tokens by the dev, to compensate them, just because she feels sad for them spending that money.

A big difference from CORE is that the ETH under the price floor can be reused (without losing any backing), which is right now used to do buybacks. 690 ETH was bought back from the market in December, another 1400+ ETH is going to be used for that this month.

By using a wrapped ETH called KETH, and using the KETH/ROOT pair as the main liquidity pool.

As LPs are locked, the ETH that would normally be locked there for eternity, can be taken away from the backing, as it will never be able to be claimed by anyone. As removing the backing doesn't take away any KETH from the ROOT/KETH pool, the ratio, and thus the price and volatility, stay the same.

The ETH that is freed up can then be used to, for example, buy back ROOT from the market, and lock that into liquidity as well, which immediately makes about half of the earlier invested ETH available to use again, and again, and again...
