25730696 No.25730696 [Reply] [Original]

Friendly reminder that within the next couple of weeks, Pangolin (Uniswap style Dex) and bZx (currently on ethereum, margin trading + borrowing + lending) will launch on Avalanche.

Why is this important?

There are a lot of ethereum competitors: Cardano (market cap $9b), Polkadot (market cap $9b), Tezos (market capp $2b), to name a few

Then you have avalanche, with a market cap of $500m
The first group of competitors - Tezos, Cardano, and Polkadot, have more or less NO dApps. No adoption. No serious smart contracts. They are pure speculation and hype.

As a matter of fact, no non-ethereum blockchain does, excluding ethereum forks.

That changes very soon. Avalanche, despite being a lot less hyped than the others, will be the FIRST non ethereum blockchain to have serious dApps.

bZx and Pangolin have shown how easy it is to move over.

4,500 TPS (vs 7 for Ethereum), transactions cost a fraction of a cent ($5-50 right now on ethereum) and are instant.

Soon enough, people who are active in DeFi are going to get to dip their toes in the water of avalanche. They can try out yield farming on pangolin and margin trading on Avalanche. What do you think is going to happen when they see just how fast it is and how easy it is to switch?

AVAX is a no brainer here. $50 is a conservative price target in the short term.

None of those are dApps

Here's some examples of dApps in ethereum to make it easy:

Uniswap (https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap))
Aave (https://aave.com/))
Synthetix (https://staking.synthetix.io/))

If you have a web3 wallet with ethereum on it, you can interact with these dApps.

Can you name your favourite such dApp for Polkadot?

I just love how normies get into crypto, watch a top 100 coin do something, "research" it (or more accurately, read well disguised advertisements) and just shill it, shill it, and shill it. They're so sure in their heads that they got the one, they're so smart, they literally can't go wrong. They go into the coin's telegram, they're finally, part of a community. Cult member status, achieved, herd mentality, activated. It's us or them. Their coin can't do wrong. It's a top tier dev team. Mainnet soon. Partnerships. THE TECH.

You think devs don't deserve to be paid for their work?

50% of the tokens are for staking rewards, which anyone can do, currently 10% per year yield. Their share is small compared to other projects.

Most of the tokens are also time locked. The previous time locked unlocking didn't dump the price a few months ago, no reason to see why it would going forwards. Most people are also staking their coins which further reduces supply.

Educate yourself.
