Somebody asked about manipulation in a previous thread, reposting this post from another one.

"You know the spot price which you see on websites like Goldprice or Kitco? That's actually taken from a place called the COMEX, a futures exchange which trades in derivatives. In that market, hundreds of fake, "digital" silver ounces are passed to and fro for every real ounce which truly exists in the vaults. This means that you can dump billions of paper ounces on the market, and crash the price, at any time. The system, however, is like fractional-reserve banking. If enough people took delivery there, the system would immediately collapse. We saw this in the 70s and 80s, when the Hunt Brothers demanded physical delivery, exposed the fraud, and silver reached an inflation-adjusted ATH of $800, at a normal historic GSR of 1:15. The COMEX broke only a couple of years ago in the case of palladium (see chart). It will happen again as the dollar collapses, and there is a run on silver.

The four best places to learn about manipulation are, first, this short video about Andrew Maguire, who is one of the most important people in exposing the fraud:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKLQGJ_GGZk&ab_channel=ArcadiaEconomics

Secondly, this interview with Craig Hemke, Eric Sprott's friend, who has been watching this for years:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EOPKizJ_Y4&ab_channel=GregHunter

Thirdly, this interview with Bart Chilton, Commissioner at the CFTC, who, in a sort of death-bed confession, exposed the manipulation only weeks before he died:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShZrgZEq1Yo&ab_channel=ArcadiaEconomics

Finally, this interview with Rob Kientz, an auditor, who explains exactly how the COMEX works and a great deal about its history:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyAopYlD32k&ab_channel=PalisadesGoldRadio

J. P. Morgan was recently fined a billion dollars for silver manipulation, so none of this is to be regarded any longer as a conspiracy theory."

To all my pmg bros. You have to realize that the Bitcoin moon is supposed to demoralize us and take up space in our head rent free. They want us stressing about how vapor tokens are increasing in price by multiple hundreds of percent. Don't focus on it. They are trying to humiliate you. Same with Tesla and all the clown market stocks. It's a show of force to shove sensible value investors' noses in the dirt by showing how long they can keep the markets irrational for their own benefit. Do not give in

This warosu thread from June will also explain where metals are going next. Ten-year yield is out of control. If it doesn't get suppressed soon with many trillions more in Q. E., the system will break down and the stock market will crash, just as in late 2018 or March 2020. It's a debt trap. They either keep printing an increasingly exponential quantity of money or the system falls apart.

https://i.warosu.org/biz/thread/19669109

Money supply is already going parabolic, just as in Weimar Germany. "The progression of annualised monetary inflation from under 6% before the Lehman crisis, to 9.6% subsequently until March this year, and 65% in the thirty weeks since is clear from the chart."

We are witnessing psychological warfare with Bitcoin. With multiple reports that BTC is predicted to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, it’s becoming apparent that investors are being intentionally led astray by big banks. This is the biggest scam I’ve ever seen. My question is: was BTC intended from the very onset to be a government-supported pump-and-dump to keep people away from PM’s, or was it started with noble intentions by real people but later co-opted by banking institutions with nefarious intent?

>So it’s beanie babies with a fixed supply? What about the two hard forks that already happened?
Hi fren. I briefly addressed that before. Hard forks and their acceptability and BTCs inability to adapt via softfork (and the likely corruption from soft forks) make crypto much more like a currency. It's definitely not beanie babies because BTC is very much like money on paper. Uniform, able to be a store of value, divisible, can be a unit of account. It's just that crypto really doesn't do this in its current state. It's really not too much different than fiat except specific chains that are more like money that is super centralized. The revolutionary part of btc is the intersection of economics and technology where you can make a system that is held together by independent actors and can be sustained and secured by participants who are given incentive to volunteer. That's really it. It's honestly a relatively boring innovation, but it's still a breakthrough. BTC is an experiment and even if it fails, I think it's been successful as an experiment.

Last time yields went this high, it caused a further 25% drop in the market, and Q. E. infinity was needed to rescue it. We no longer have Q. E. infinity. Q. E. has been tapered to a mere $120 billion per month, that's why yields are now out of control. The Fed must go back to printing trillions before it's too late.

The metals price evaluation won't necessarily come gradually. Most likely thing is that you'll go to bed one Friday night, wake up on Monday morning, and read that gold has now been revalued at $15,000 an ounce, silver at $800, and Bitcoin has gone to zero. There is no reason for a useless piece of technology like BTC to have any value in a post-fiat world. It is fool's gold for the ignorant. It is worthless intrinsically and it is worthless as a currency. It only goes up in the fiat system because of central banks manipulating it on the futures exchanges, and pumping it with tether. Helps also that their MSM outlets constantly push it on people. It is intended to serve as a distraction from real money, nothing more. When the dollar collapses, every country will return to a gold standard, and BTC will crash for the same reason that Tesla will crash 99% from its 1300 P. E. ratio, because every single bubble will deflate to fair value.

Disregard jewels, buy metals. Silver is a bit volatile (just see the smackdown today lol) but has potentially more upside than gold. Gold on the other hand is a safe, proven store of wealth so I'd advise you to buy gold first. You can see, objectively speaking, that Tesla is one of the greatest bubbles in history, simply by looking at the P. E. ratio. BTC doesn't have a P. E. ratio which you can point to, and demonstrably settle the question by, but anybody who knows the first thing about it understands that it is worthless. So the movement in its price can be reasonably attributed to the same forces which are pumping stocks like Tesla.

And yesterday i was looking at a grandpa vid specialized in esoterism and he showed the astrological map for 2021 : the biggest astrofuck up in literal millenias : like saturn and uranus fistfucking the whole galaxy in jan/feb, then a last time in nov.
The dude never saw such a fucked up pattern in his (very long) life.

I disagree with you about this, but philosophically speaking it doesn't matter. For practical purposes, intrinsic value means what people consider to be valuable when the thing is not in a bubble, or bought merely for speculation. Gold and silver are a store of economic value which add materially to a nation's wealth, and can be used in industry and ornament, medicine and technology. Conversely, BTC offers absolutely nothing. After the reset, every nation will demand gold in exchange its goods and services. No nation will be stupid enough to trade the sweat of its brow for thin air. Kek, it's true though!
Mineral specimens are a totally different avenue than investment metals or anything like that. These are one-of-a-kind pieces, some of which are worth hundreds of thousands. I think Pan Man mentioned a gold specimen which was sold to some sheikh for almost a million or something. Picrel is one of my favorite gold specimens

until it goes to the moon. i mean you might get lucky timing it like that, but reality is what happens if it goes to the 30s and stays, then you'll wait 6 months and never buy? Buying when it goes into the 20s is a hindsight strategy and only works for recent times. DCA has worked for ages. fact is this shit in the short run might absolutely tank, or it might moon, it's hard to know, so we all agree the fundamentals are that it will go up: so just buy once a quarter or monthly or whatever and forget about it. timing the market is for people with time machines.

Insider anon here. Popping in to relieve some tensions among you folks. Don't worry about the PM price drop, it's a predictable happening- let me explain:

>Monday 1/11/21 at 9:30am Eastern, an Executive Order will take effect that effectively embargos China. Any holdings will become effectively worthless and non-transactable for the foreseeable future (at least 4 years). Powers that be are heavily invested in China and forced to liquidate assets at an accelerated pace. They have no time to waste.

>JPM and custodians have been instructed to do whatever they can to lower any available mechanisms (e.g. "outs") to reduce the barrier for entry. It actually hurts JPM to do this, because it puts a strain on their long game. In the business of generating profits, why would a trickle long game be overshadowed by a potential short-term loss: to mitigate a long-term loss. If they don't liquidate over the next 2 days, their losses will be insurmountable.

>Politicians are rushing to remove Trump at any cost as we speak, because he is the only one that can stop the embargo from taking effect. A 60-day grace period will expire, preventing a short-term rollback and sustaining the EO indefinitely. Ask yourself why so much energy is being publicly put toward removal when they can just sit quiet until inauguration day? I hope common sense provides you that answer. Occam's razor.

In short, the true buys over the weekend will cause an instant price rebound, so hold tight and stay positive. I assure you the future will be brighter than today. Godspeed.

It's the bubble stocks which get hit the hardest on the way down. DEF might be fundamentally undervalued (just like most silver stocks) but it has a lot of hype priced in because of all the Twitter pumpers, and its being in the "biggest" section in the Silver Sitfolio. Klondike was in an enormous bubble as well, ghost management team with no plans and no drilling; have been saying since it passed a $45 million mcap to sell half and put the profits in relatively undervalued stocks, hard to believe that it ever got to $75 million. Bayhorse and Blue Lagoon are only down 5% today which is a pretty strong statement that they have hit a bottom.

Of course this is all short-term noise in any event, it doesn't particularly matter what happens to these stocks in the medium-term. I only trade around them sometimes to amuse myself. 100x or more is coming, for virtually all silver stocks which aren't a complete scam. All that a person really need do is hold and be patient.

Honestly I admit the "it doesn't cost much to produce it thus it's worthless" argument is pretty weak.

However at the same time one should admit that value does not always come from the cost of making something. For example it takes a whole lot of effort time and money to make an Empire State Building made from shit, but it's still worthless shit in the end.

There is a lot of gold and other mineralization on the seabed. But so far it has been economically unfeasible to mine. There's also a lot of old treasure in shipwrecks but those are not worth the investment for anybody because of governments claiming ownership when they're taken up from the waters

picrel is a failed company's specially-made seabed mining equipment

Never put everything into anything. Current policies are inflating other commodities as well, so don't stick just with gold and silver.

Platinum and palladium, lithium, rare earths, base metals, uranium, oil etc. all need your love, too. I buy crypto and normie stocks too, because after all, line go up.

In the most bullish scenario possible, just having a large or even small percentage of your total invested in PMs will be enough to make it.

doesn't matter when the cost of developing the machinery, building and launching it, then waiting months for it to get to the rocks, then mining the rocks, refining them, waiting for months for them to get back, landing them back on the planet all cost so much that it's more than just taking metal right out of the ground.

Buy a little at a time or large amounts at a time. I typically buy large amounts at a time in order to not have continuous transactions of the same location listed on the bank accounts. Every few months large single transactions mixed with various other ones. Right now a lot of people are seeing "large" purchases between 15 - 25 ounces. When silver was $15 that most people were buying 30 - 50 ounces.
