everyone knows it might happen therefore the risks are priced in

Surely there's no way a 6% daily rise is accurately priced in for that risk

>> No.25694740

>>25694570
It's accurate because the "risk" is a bullshit story fud anons keep spamming about a request for documents on a specific loan that has nothing to do with the fact Tether has 74% of USDT backed by cash and the remaining 26% backed by other securities and financial instruments.
Every time you see a Tether fud anon post mentally replace their post content with "I am very upset I missed out on cheap Bitcoin and I hope if I scare enough people the price will be affordable again for me."

>fact Tether has 74% of USDT backed by cash
1) They don't have the cash
2) Even if they do they obtained it by market manipulation and will get rekt by prosecutors

>> No.25694855

>>25694570
the problem isn't that tether isn't backed at all, it just gave a shady loan to bitfinance and will get rekt, BTC won't

>> No.25694897

>>25694740
I mean... that 74% was at 2bil, to be fair. We're now 11x that.
Personally I think BTC is here to stay and will only grow more expensive. It's like Tupperware: started as a scam but eventually became mainstream enough to be just another asset among many other assets.

Anyway why fight the pump? Just put money in and enjoy the ride. It's free money, as long as you gamble responsibly. If it all crashes and burns, the money was just a ticket for the entertainment of watching this show unfold.

Will the Tether fudders be right? Who the fuck knows. Is Bitfinex a scam? Who the fuck knows. But I know BTC is now worth $41k.

>> No.25695064

>>25694849
That document is about Bitfinex needing USDT on hand so the many people trying to buy wouldn't run out of supply.
That's what USDT is for. It goes to exchanged to keep liquidity available for when many users are trying to conduct transactions. They're not taking a trillion USDT and using it to buy Bitcoin themselves you absolute retard.

Where can I see the info on tether's backing? I haven't seen many people talking about the fud beyond the borders of /biz/ which makes me suspect it's not as big of a deal as it seems, but the recent pump does seem convenient for tether.

How long since they produced proof of their assets?
