If I’m sending from blockfi to coinbase, what is to prevent coinbase from lying and saying they never received my bitcoin? What if the transaction gets lost. There isn’t exactly a bitcoin support number you can call for assistance.

Literally couldn't happen. The entire world can inspect the blockchain and see that you sent the coins and that it went to their wallet
The worst thing that can happen when sending large btc is that you fuck up the address and send it to a random wallet

You get a confirmation email immediately once it sends. Just copy and paste the correct address and you're fine.

Go into your account and oh look here it says this is my receive address
Also
>transaction gets lost
A transaction will not get lost. What could happen though, is if a transaction is sent with an insufficient fee it might not get picked for a long time and will eventually fall off the queue in two weeks. At which point it's like the transaction never happened (will not be spent from the sending wallet)

Yeah they could lie and the proof of it would be in the ledger

Dumbass

yes, but in all likelihood they'd rather maintain the reputation and integrity of their million dollar business than destroy it to steal a few thousand worth of BTC from you

Untrue. I talk to Bitcoin support line often. They are being quite resourceful in tracking what went wrong with my wallet's money.
So far, after asking for my private keys, they were able to trace it to some niggers' account in Argentina. After a payment by deposit in their Mexican bank account I'll have my assets back in up to three days. Very helpful folks.

ur not supposed to send it to exchanges.

Ur suppoed to hokld it in your wallet and pay for shit with it instead of trading it for cash

I think an exchange like coinbase is safeer than a private wallet. There is a higher probability that I owe my coins than coinbase exit scams.
