My dad and good friend who I haven’t talked to in awhile both randomly texted me within 15 minutes of each other about Bitcoin. My friend got into crypto back in 2017 when I did and we were retards who didn’t know anything so we bought XRP (around 40-50 cents though so we weren’t too retarded). After the big crash he sold his stack into BTC and hasn’t looked at it since until now while I’ve kept up with it. This FOMO from normies all seems like it’s kicking in too fast... I would have preferred a steadier rise desu. Is this unironically bearish for the short term? Or do you think the markets are just gonna say fuck it this time and go straight to 100k before a big pullback?

They often say that shit with a $2 soda in one hand and a $2 snack they don't need in the other while you're drinking tap water. My wife and I have pinched every penny we have had since 2016 to buy BTC. We went without to get what we have, knowing it would pay off. Even when our kid's health problems kept me out of work for a year and then COVID kept me unemployed for months and we racked up massive bills we didn't sell.

We don't have enough to retire yet, but we've got a helluva nest egg now.
