BTC will always be a solid hold.

ETH and LINK will eventually be replaced by some better utility token and LINK by some better oracle (I have a finger on API3, but can't say before the DAO is complete.). No idea when this happens but definitely not viable for a 10 year hold

Literally the most generic fucking answer in the world for someone who has made it. Dude if you're not pursuing art and music RIGHT NOW when you're broke, you're not gonna do it rich. Do you think all those bands you like listening to wrote their BEST albums when they were rich or broke and hungry

I've never heard anyone say "Oh I think I might learn how to build stuff out of wood." or "I think I want to learn how to code and make my own video game." It's always the same boring answer: make music.
Let me tell you, if you wanna make music, by a 2x2 scarlett interface, a shure microphone and download ANY free digital audio workstation. BOOM, you can make music. I can write a beat in literally 2 minutes with the pre-samples. This shit could not be easier to get started with. People think because they're rich they're gonna sit in a studio and create greatness. It's utter hilarity. I bet OP doesn't even have a soundcloud of stuff he's currently recording or even trying to put together. It would cost maybe $300 in used equipment on Reverb. OP, I say this to you because you're not suddenly going to become a self actualized musician with money. You're putting it off right now and using the money as an excuse WHY you're putting it off.

Start recording the piano stuff. Make music out of it. Practice doesn't mean shit. Half these people making beats cant even read music. Half these singers just show up and sing. Famous guitar riffs are like 3 chords and a catchy pentatonic riff.
Just start recording your piano shit and put cool art to it. START DOING SOMETHING. I say this as someone who sold my creativity. I dont even really like writing short stories and shit anymore. I just write about stocks for a newsletter now. I'm not joking. I've only just recently thought about getting into kids books because thats where the REAL money is. I'm just trying to get better at drawing cause fuck splitting the profits with an illustrator.

Sounds like you are a hobbyist like me. I have like 20 fucking things I'm interested in bro. I am the classic jack of all trades, master of nothing. The only thing I'm slightly good at is writing and editing peoples writing. it's been my career for 10 years. On here I just bullshit, but I can actually put together a well researched and thought out argument. I honestly dont know what I will do if I make it. I think having a family, growing my small amount of vegetables and just working on my house is INFINITELY more rewarding than a lot of hobbies. It's really weird. I think I'm becoming a boomer. That's why I'm trying to get back to a little bit of creativity. I enjoy the simplicity of kids books. Nobody fucking reads novels anymore. But parents will ALWAYS read to their kid. Its a market that kinda always remains, despite books being a lost art.

For me, 50k after taxes is gonna be like 37k or 39k. That is NOT going to take a chunk out of mortgage or set me up for years to come. It will pad my life for a few months. For you, I'd likely guess the same. I'm holding strong till six figures, then taking some profits, then letting the rest ride. Just like I did with Chainlink. All my LINK is literally house money. Most of the neets here are already pursuing art and have been for years. It's just that making honest art and making honest money usually aren't compatible qualities so we need something to put food on the table. Do it, I highly recommend doing it because you need to get it out of your system. People who dont indulge eventually burn out or go ALL OUT when they finally do. And then they cant stop spending because they have years of repressed desires and buying stuff nowadays takes 1 click. My advice to you, if you dont mind, when you splurge, buy something that MIGHT actually accumulate in value. Like say you're looking at Omega and Rolex. Buy the Rolex, it's gonna hold value so well. Or classic cars, you get a desirable car thats easy to resell like a c2 corvette or c3. Not the 65 ford falcon that someone dropped a hemi in. Treat yourself to an American Gold Eagle every now and then. or a nice painting in your home. I have 3 pieces that I could sell to a museum nearby that I just got lucky and bought at a local auction.

Pretty solid OP. I'd add some ADA, it's very cheap compared to the potential. Like, actual potential based on fundamentals, not pushing you a random shitcoin. You seem already pretty well covered. I'd advise you to keep a close eye on how miners are doing with BTC about 5 to 10 years from now, they will decide if the project floats or sinks, PoW is not viable long term imo.

Hey, I did the second and want to start on the first. It's just not something people talk about because for some reason when you announce any of these things that are both somewhat difficult and require investing a bunch of gains goblins try to take you down so they feel better about being useless. I guess just nobody thinks making music/art is worth anything as to put you down.

music and art are worth plenty but literally EVERYONE does it now. It's not like the old days when old Joe picked the meanest guitar you ever heard down the street. Or you were the guy in the village who could play the piano. What I'm saying, everyone is a hobbyist now. What are you doing that REALLY stands out and commands a value any greater than the guy on gum road or etsy? We live in a world drowning in creativity. You're making art and music just like millions of other people and the price for that commodity is low for the same reason.

Exactly, dont get me wrong, I will keep playing my guitars. They're hanging on my wall right now. i will still keep writing riffs in my free time for my own personal enjoyment. But to think I'm going to realize my teenage boyhood dreams of being a rock band because I have money to record... that's just silly. Currently my last real "dream" that I think is accomplishable and not influenced by media (rockstar, movie star, etc) is writing a book. i dont give a fuck what kind of book. I write approximately 60,000 words a year for my job currently so the fact I have not written a book, despite having so many ideas is my "sin" of wasting my life. But I really am getting serious about buckling down with it this year. I don't even wanna make it from the sales of the book. I just wanna be able to go on Amazon and show my friends and family "yeah I got a book on there, kinda cool!" Being a jack of all trades is fun because you can jump right in with other people, but it kinda fucking sucks because you see people who just laser focused on one thing like autist and they're damn good at it. I dunno, grass is greener, right my brother?

Making art is a really frustrating process and when you're all phazed out because of daily life, hardly you have the strength to pour your feelings and thoughts into a piece of art.
Forcing yourself to play an instrument or draw or pursue arts is a mentally tasking decision since 90% of the time you think that what you're doing is complete shit. 9% of the time you think you actually have something great and the next day you look at it and realize it's also shit. You have to grind hard to reach that 1% where you're actually satisfied of your work.

It's extremely shitty but it's also beautiful in the long run. Having financial security would take that burden out and make you focus on art much better.
