Here is how it works.

We invent an exchange system to pass around to get work, get things, etc instead of having to barter with exactly what you might need.

Here is the flaw. Whatever you pass around has it's own supply and demand. You can have it deflate and people horde it which means no one spends and less work gets done. You inflate it too much and people no longer want to work for it.

That's all money is. An exchange tool. The part where it is valuable or something you store is basically a by product we manipulate usually poorly.

The dollar inflating just means you have no incentive to hold on to it and instead spend it as soon as you get it, which increases work done as long as we don't inflate too much.


bit coin is different. It's best asset is decentralization and that it deflates. Meaning hold it as a store of value is the best use and it can be used to hedge in unique ways making it very valuable and easy to transport worldwide.

Meanwhile, the FED printed 30% of all dollars that have ever existed last year, without creating any value in so doing. Necessarily every dollar is worth 30% less now. I guess that's a valuable functionality if you're a central bank, it's sort of a huge assfuck pain in the rear if you're a normal person though.
