if you're using GPUs then I would recommend mining ethereum
if you're using ASICs then it's worth it to mine BTC

if you can mine without paying electricity then I would consider seriously doing it
otherwise it's not as profitable as just buying the asset itself and making money from gains

you won't make any meaningful serious gains via mining unless you use powerful machines
mobile phone mining via apps is a disgrace and will only trickle in drops while datamining your entire phone

I've been mining for years now and speak from real world experience

Mined ~50 ETH over the last three years using 4 mining rigs that I run out of an office where I don't pay electricity
