Socialism is what you're looking for there. Capitalism forces you to pay to exist. Full-socialism would be a government mandated patch of land.
Anyway, I'll tell you what our biggest problems are. PROPERTY TAXES. That is the big fuck you that forces us all into slavery. Capitalism might not be so bad if it wasn't for banks, landlords and property taxes.
Then you'd have cheap ass real estate that you don't have to pay a monthly fee on just for your right to exist.
Until our world manifests such policies, capitalism will always be the enemy.

We shouldn't have banks, landlords or property taxes, though. Those are hard stops. They should not exist. Period. For any of those things to exist = slavery of the human race.

Even if you believe in a system of private property bought and sold in a market economy (AKA capitalism) you don't need to accept the banks, landlords or property taxes. All of those are unnecessary institutions that force people to pay, and pay out their ass, for their right to exist.

You need the policies I talk about even more in the multicultural USA.
You have whites who are upset about having to give welfare to black people?
OK. You can't cut welfare until you get rid of landlords though.
Welfare is basically just landlord subsidization. The black person who gets the welfare only temporarily holds the money. It goes to his landlord, primarily.
So you need to get rid of the landlords if you ever want to reduce your welfare burden.

In any kind of sensible, sane world, everyone would see this clearly. But Americans are idiots (I am a white American)

a bank is a building where people pay you to securely hold your money for you. Why should that be illegal? "bank = slavery" is not an argument.

So you don't believe in landlords -- if you come home one day and a guy is sleeping on your couch, why shouldn't you be allowed to charge him rent? "landlords = slavery" is not an argument.

You call yourself a socialist but you oppose property taxes -- you're probably the only socialist on earth who feels this way -- most socialists view property taxes as a good solution to so-called land speculation by evil capitalists (google "georgists" to get an idea). Also, you can't simultaneously give the government control over most of the economy but also eliminate one of the biggest sources of tax revenue for the government. "property tax = slavery" is not an argument.

Toast too is just wheat that grows in the ground and is easy to produce if you have land and aren't enslaved.

There's no need for any of it. People like you just support it because you have a hatred for others inside of you. You support our system in which a small amoutn of people are empowered to buy up all of the resources in our society, causing scarcity and economic strife for everyone else.

That's not what a bank is, lol. You're on /biz/ and you don't even know what banks do. FLM.
It's the loans that are slavery. And they're compulsory, not voluntary, since everyone has mandatory participation in this capitalist system, and prices are artificially inflated through the existence of those loans.

Also "thing = slavery" IS an argument. Slavery is wrong. It is a moral wrong to keep living creatures in slavery.

idk if you're still here but for further insight I dropped out of college when I was 20. After that I worked minimum wage jobs for at least 7 or 8 years. Eventually I went back to school at a cheap community college, and graduated at 31.

When I started working my career in that area in 2014, I was making 15.75/hour. After I moved to NYC I made $41.50 an hour doing THE EXACT SAME JOB. With overtime I was making over 100k a year here in NYC with my 2 year degree. I'm not going to say what the degree is because other people might do it and flood my field. Fuck off we're full

to further put things into perspective I have a 34 year old younger brother who never left EKY, he has made near minimum wage working at fast food restaurants and as a repo man for a rent-a-center for the better part of the past decade. There are no other jobs, he has absolutely nothing, can't even keep a vehicle in repair. I keep telling him to leave town and go to the nearest city (lexington, ky), but he refuses. Some of my friends did that and got jobs at the Toyota factory and they are doing much better than those who didn't leave.

if you've heard of the proximity principle, if you put yourself near other people with money, you are more likely to obtain some of that money yourself. sounds stupid but I'm a believer now. I will easily be a millionaire within the next 5 years and a multimillionaire by 50 at which point I hope to retire.

Now you might say this still isn't escaping wage slavery, and you'd be right. But I can say that wage slavery is a lot more tolerable when you know you could quit at any time and still be comfortable and you're simply choosing to work and further enrich yourself. When you know you HAVE TO be there or starve on the street, and you are living paycheck to paycheck, it does feel like literal slavery. Live below your means and invest money in your retirement account, anon.

So it sounds like the argument against banks is that they enslave people to repay loans over 30 years. So in theory, if we did away with loans, people wouldn’t be able to afford houses, house prices would drop to a level that people could buy them without taking a loan. So if that holds true, the material cost and labor cost should also decrease, right? It also assumes unregulated bodies wouldn’t step in to lend money. I mean shit rates are at like 2.2%.

>> No.25511628

>>25511176
Property taxes don't go to anything federal though, so your argument is objectively deboonked.
There is no reason for them.
Also - get rid of the landlords and you don't need nearly as much welfare, since welfare exists mainly to subsidize landlords. So whatever money you can save from that (which will be an insanely large chunk of the US yearly budget) you can put towards whatever other magical costs of maintaining a country that property taxes are going towards (ignoring the fact that property taxes aren't really going towards anything like that, but that's OK).

You have spent too much time in leftist circles my friend. You would be hard pressed to find anybody who's happy about wealth being in control of a select few. You are hiding behind this boogeyman you call "capitalism". Private property and a minimally regulated market isn't the problem and trying to upheave it is as braindead now as it was the last 20 times it was attempted. What you are really talking about is basing an economy on debt which we are currently doing. The system of loans and interest is abused over and over again and the people who earn the interest payments become exponentially wealthy to the same degree as the people paying it become poor. The government handing out land doesn't solve this problem. "muh gubmint" isn't the solution to everything. You realize land is only as valuable as what its near right? Who gets the land by the city? Who gets the land by the ocean? And who gets the land where its nothing but clay? In your stormcloud of a mind we are born into a just world of fairness that been locked away by people smoking cigars, twirling their mustache and saving for their next yacht. Life will always be a game of resources no matter what system we have. Utopian thinking is a sign of mental illness and people like you will get us all killed.

>Who gets the land by the city? Who gets the land by the ocean? And who gets the land where its nothing but clay
uhh simple, just make a website and let everyone choose like with plane seats or even better make it random to make sure it’s 100% fair

There would only be one way... manage to turn off all greed in your brain. Which is nearly impossible, unless you decide to move to India and join some monastery of Bhuddists.

>literal slavery

This. Spend 9 hours a day at work (8h + mandatory 1h lunch-"break", thanks union assholes) at a place you dislike with people you wouldn't choose spending time with unless forced, or live on the street and die. GEE WHAT A CHOICE, SURE ISN'T BEING A SLAVE

Land always had a price but it wasn't always paid in currency.

>muh 1 million to retire
>muh 23 quadrillion to be comfy
>muh you need 300k a year to survive
I'll make it with 300k. You can enjoy waging and looking at charts for literal decades just so you are "comfy". Fucking Americans.

You don't need to be in NYC for opportunity. I agree with other anon about not moving to a super cheap area, but there are plenty of mid-sized cities with lots of opportunity and housing far cheaper than NYC.
