Just because your exchange wallet sent money somewhere doesn't mean it's your wallet. People send each other money all the time.
The fact that the government is trying to force a rule that private wallets need to be KYC'd before CEXs can transfer to them demonstrates this. They wouldn't attempt something so stupid if it didn't fuck with their tax kikery.

Also, even if such a rule does go through, it wouldn't matter. It just means you have to use a middleman wallet before going to your real wallet.

If you guys weren't all total retards you'd understand how taxes work. If you buy crypto you don't owe until you sell it. If you exchange to a different currency that counts as a sale and then a purchase. If you sold it for more than the price you paid you have capital gains.

If your income + gains are more than the taxes you already paid plus deductions you owe taxes. If you're broke you most likely qualify for further deductions and will pay a lower capital gains rate.
