I unironically believe the price suppression is artificial.
This token need decentralisation, the cheaper it is the more people who believe in the project ( indexer / delegator ) can buy, also you need 100K token to be a fucking delegator.

You need to stop thinking in terms of memes, as if Graph is just some reverse-Chainlink.

Graph is not limited to taking information “off chain”. It’s not even limited to anything blockchain related. The concept of decentralized APIs can basically revolutionize the entire database industry.

Proceeds to list a bunch of no name blockchain meme apps that no one in the world knows about except those who follow crypto like biz, reddit, and twitter fags.

Oracles offer a real chance to blockchain tech to evolve into something huge. They enable trillions of dollars from a wealth of industries to use blockchain with their existing systems and data.

The graph on the other hand depends on blockchain tech being massive. Long term, I do believe it's a good play, but a project like GRT is limited in scope to crypto. An oracle however is relevant to both crypto and non-crypto, huge difference.

you are literally contradicting yourself right now.
if businesses make smart contracts that use oracles, they will use chainlink, sure.
if these same businesses need to build any sort of humanly-usable interface for their clients to interact, use, analyze, or process data concerning these smart contracts, they need the graph
it's not a "maybe", it's a necessity.
you can't build UIs like uniswap.info without the graph
you CANT, your only solution is making your own indexing node, which takes an insane amount of tech knowledge, server maintenance, bandwidth, space, and is still centralized, while offloading the work to grt will probably cost you less in monthly costs

A project whose success depends upon the growth of crypto and which is only relevant to blockchain companies can only hope to attract at best a couple billions of dollars in a bull run. Amazon, a single company, is worth $1.63T dollars.

On the other hand, oracles are the very breakthrough enabling crypto to even grow past its infant state of shitcoin PnDs and its worth isn't limited to a few crypto apps with a couple billions of dollars under management, rather it's ripe to disrupt the biggest industries of the world with trillions of dollars (and possibly quadrillions in certain cases) at stake.

GRT bottomed this morning. It will never see below 30 cents again. Call your brokers and buy some immediately if you ever want to retire. It only takes 1k GRT to make it from here. Screencap this and put it in MS Paint. Make cool drawing around it. Then print it out and put it above your monitor. Then take a picture of the picture above your monitor and save it to your device. Chainlink will appreciate in price, like most worthwhile projects, but it will not reprice straight upwards as many other projects, GRT included, will. Depending on your portfolio size I would try to keep some money in smaller cap coins though as those will inevitably have more potential to moon violently in a bull run. GRT is a good project but with barely over 1/10th of the supply currently out and billions of tokens to be released in the coming months and years it's not the best play imo, especially considering it's already relatively high cap despite the low circulating supply.

in fact, i'll 1-up you one
i know this for a FACT
i'm an actual dev myself and know actual startups that won local events and got free gibs to make their products
they ran into this EXACT problem, this was before thegraph even existed, their solution was basically since their smart contract didnt have many users, they just completely replicated the on-chain data on their own server to make querying it faster, and then had to build tons of code on top to "translate" this blockchain data whenever it was requested, the startup was just a stagnant company for a year or two so it eventually disbanded like all "hackathon winner" startups do, but the lead dev himself told me it was a complete pain in the ass and he only used "blockchain" as a reason to get investor hype
bottom line is, blockchains are unusable, blockchains are ledgers of transactions that, while different in contents, look exactly the same from a usage perspective, if you dont turn this blob of a mess into a usable database of contents you will never bring blockchain to the mainstream

I have 10k in liquidity left this week and i can raise anoter 10k next week.

Should i average down my cost while most people don't understand how crazy it is ?

You read up on all the projects you were just shilled.
If it sounds like the Token isn't needed, do more research then give up on it if you can't find out the purpose behind the token.
If two Projects sound just as good, go 50/50.

If you have no idea what you are buying, you will suffer and sell when/if the price goes down.

Tech like the graph is very valuable, no doubt. Perhaps I'm simply underestimating how much use it would get. Oracles are not simply nice to have, they are required and difficult to implement (there have been many millions of dollars lost to oracle hacks this year alone). Meanwhile, tech like the graph is extremely useful but ultimately just nice to have, and not as complicated to implement. In fact, I opted for a centralized alternative called bitquery for its ease of use yet powerful capabilities developing an app of my own (see https://bitquery.io/labs/graphql))

The "if I did X and Y" thought process is useless here.

Hindsight is perfect with charts.

I always imagine a new Back to the Future.
But Bill finds loads of Crypto Charts.
And trades using 20/20 hindsight, going from one pump to the next, putting 100% profit and 100X leverage every trade.

Point is, "I wish I bought X on that day, traded it for Y on this day and Cashed out on that day" is stupid, no one knows what'll pump.

It's easy to trace a way to 1M looking at what you could have done.

I wish I waited to buy in, but here am I.
I prefer to suffer a retrace than to miss a pump. That's how I justify it to myself.

>bitquery
>covalent
bunch of others
i know there's competition, but the 2 key counterpoints :
>decentralization
>market-adjusted pricing
as a developer, if i wanted to use the uniswap subgraph, the fact that uniswap themselves and many other developers will be using it, will effectively mean the indexers serving this data will receive a lot of queries, and thus offset their server costs and be a lot more competitive in price, effectively making all these individual developers pay a lot less
so
>more people using an endpoint
>more fees
>indexers easily afford to ask for less
>all developers pay a fraction of what they would have
this is why decentralization wins, and also why SaaS solutions are fucking completely spitting on competition (airbnb, uber/ubereats, etc..)
you don't charge for the service, you let others offer it, and charge for it, making the price competitive, and netting you customers

Everybody please remember that GRT bottomed this morning. Very important information to consider when evaluating the future price of the coin, which technically must be higher as the bottom just occurred and we're not much above it.

There's a genuine chance it's not the bottom. But in a year people will be absolutely sobbing at the idea they could have bought at .30 even so it doesn't really matter. This is just the accumulation phase. If you pick up a bunch now and just hold and don't even look at it for ten years then you will be able to retire and do anything you want.
