Other way around friend. Do you really think people worth billions don't have the capacity to understand this stuff? It's not really that complex.

>But BTC is literally a slow broken piece of shit that doesn't do anything
The main (and only really) point of crypto is direct value transfer without a middleman. That's it. Bitcoin solved it. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors by people who want to make money of gullible fools. Faster blocks pays for their speed with lower security. Security > speed when it comes to crypto. Are you starting to understand yet?

It's not about Vitalik, if you followed anything about ETH he almost completely removed himself from the loop and is irrelevant for the future of the roadmap.

It's about community, the ever growing use cases, the fact you BTC cucks are 100% speculating holding on your coins like some juju or talisman, while you can put your ETH to work.
You like quoting Buffet so much, how about you revisit what he says about unproductive assets which BTC 100% is.
BTC had its chance at smartcontracts but is a pain to develop with, which is why ETH was made in the first place.

I think BTC will continue to rule the SoV use case and ETH the smart contract use case. I'm a BTC maxi when it comes to SoV, that doesn't mean I think there aren't other use cases and other cryptos better suited for them. I also don't think it's impossible that the smart contract use case ends up attracting a larger market cap, and if that's a "flippening" you look forward to and speculate on then power to you, but I still don't think that would mean ETH would take over the SoV use case, especially if ETH 2.0 with POS takes off (which is an even better fit than POW for smart contracts but worse for SoV).

Higher risk, higher reward. Simple as that. Technically, since the March bottom last year, ETH still has a higher ROI than BTC since its March bottom, despite lagging behind past few months. This lagging won't just continue forever though, it's like a slingshot and you're going to miss out on some serious gains here in a short while if you don't trade.

It's easy to come in here and be all high and mighty while your BTC is obviously in the limelight. Won't last forever and ETH will soon be running circles around BTC, and the cycle will continue.

>Vitalik's project immediately before Ethereum is that he was collecting investments from people to fund building a computer program to solve NP-complete problems in polynomial time, supposedly by simulating a quantum computer. (Never mind that even real QC aren't conjectured to be able to do that, nor does 'simulation' make any sense; unless BPP == BQP thats not even possible, and virtually all experts agree the complexity classes are probably not equivalent).
>He built up a reputation for himself writing tech explainers of other people's ideas usually without any attribution (until someone complains), making him look like the author. Beyond ripping off other's ideas,
> Vitalik has had virtually no interaction with Bitcoin developers, having never contributed to Bitcoin development.
Wow. If true, this is amazing. Nobody who understands the first thing about computer science 101 would think this. This is the same level as raising funds for building a perpetuum mobile. He's either a scam artist or incredibly dumb.

Yes eth is inflationary. Currently eth supply increases 4-5% a year. But if we look at circulating supply, btc also increases by that much or maybe a bit lower now and will only end new issuance in 2130 whereas eth could have no end date. However, when eth 2.0 or eip 1559 comes out, its believed that inflation will go to 0 or even negative meaning supply will decrease (deflationary). We can therefore say the supply cap for eth could potentially be at ~120-140million forever.
