You do realize that changes things, right? The whole “buy the dip” saying only applies to investments that actually show promise. That said, there’s nothing wrong with doing your research and finding that underpriced, diamond in the rough stock that we’re all sleeping on. I’m just saying more often than not there’s a reason a company’s stock shows a steady downtrend and it makes you more likely than ever to be a bagholder unless you’re swinging or day trading.

I would like to bring your attention to biotech stocks.
Many experts in the field agree that the 21st century will be host to what's known as the "fourth industrial revolution", and center on the blending of the 3rd industrial revolution with the new emerging technologies of biology, such as CRISPR.
The new field of "Synthetic Biology" or "bioengineering" will play a huge part in this.

I was wondering if any of you knew some interesting bio-stocks that may be quite successful in the near future.

Please share.

Probably just a temporary small dump, I think most big investors would actually be relieved that Warren left/died. I mean, if you sum the shit up over the last decade you would see that he's outdated as fuck.. his risky plays in energy and old garbage chains that he thinks is still hip, he haven't made any successful large deals in years because he refuses to buy anything that isn't 110% perfect, him not buying into Apple around 2010 because he "didn't understand the product" even though his entire board begged him to and he didn't approve of them buying it until 2016, etc etc. Speaking of Apple, Apple is now Berkshire's largest holding and is literally carrying the entire company. Also, let's not forget how he bought into airlines in the middle of a fucking pandemic because he thought the value was good.. he's so fucking outdated it's insane and his entire "diversified" mega company that he built up is currently being saved by a company(Apple) he didn't believe in/understand up until just 5 years ago, kek'd.
If you started a contest in 2010 up until 2020, gave Warren Buffet $100m and a young decently good investors $100m so they would both start with the exact same amount of money. Who do you think would have won? My bet would have been the young investor considering Berkshire didn't even beat the S&P average

It really depends on where you're at in the national interest rate cycle. The Great Depression of 1929, the Nikkei crash of 1990, the Eurozone crisis of 2013 and the Chinese asset bubble bursting in 2015 are 4 examples of where low interest rates caused long lasting depressions.

We're already there in the US. This is where the ultra rich get into 0% yielding bonds while they watch every other asset class (including gold and silver crash).

The first question you should ask yourself is why an investor would buy a 0% yielding bond? Why do the wealthy buy government debt?

You have been warned.

HOWEVER

The Green Energy Infrastructure Plan of Biden's is massive at 2 trillion.

I wouldn't get too much into solar, but something beaten down like:

WKHS (from 30)
HYLN (from 55)

are decent plays.

Plus, markets are forward thinking. I don't see a future with XOM or HAL.

Personally, I will never own solar panels. No point, especially where I live.

Example.

A Tesla Roof (solar panel roof) costs me 60k. To recoup that investment on where I live (midwest), it would take 30 years to pay that 60k off due to the lack of sunlight in my area.

Solar is great if you live in California or the southwest US. Anywhere else is not worth it based on cost.

I took the TD Ameritrade Fundamental Analysis course and actually learned a bit about discounted cash flow analysis and how companies tend to converge to the average P/E ratio of their sector. I'm thinking of buying cheap LEAPS on a grocery store with a P/E of like 8 and hoping for the best. I think I'm more likely to make money on that than a YOLO that's already at 150% IV.

Even though it would drag down the S&P due to being a market cap-weighted index, breakers won't trigger unless the entire index is pulled down significantly (i.e. Apple, Amazon, Google, and Facebook need to crash too). If it's isolated to Tesla, circuit breakers aren't going to trigger

I study different markets for a couple hours a day, work on valuation models for a little bit, and execute a couple options trades every day. All told, about 2-3 hours a day. I'm just building my active trading account with this, and can see myself pulling out enough to pay monthly rent and stuff by 2Q while still staying in the green. Stocks are WAY easier than crypto, this market trades like shitcoins and I've lost 30 grand on that shitshow over the last couple months.

Started out active trading with $100, turned it to $200, then put in a grand, now it's two grand, so I dropped 10 grand in and if I get it to 20 grand, well, that's where you start.
