i've tried this, gambling $100 here on there on micro caps ($500k) but many of these projects either crab or fail after a few months. When I gamble, I bet on slightly bigger caps (3 mil) that have functional dapps or products (or on their way to launch them). It's easier to assess a project after 6-18 months of existence.

The first problem you're having is you define "$500k" as a microcap. You should think of sub-100k tokens as microcaps and if you aren't that early just move on. There's already plenty of room to drop at 500k for shitcoins.
