DCA works well in environments of high volatility since you buy more (in BTC) when prices are lower and buy less when prices are higher. DCA doesn't work as well if volatility is low and prices keep going straight up.

BTC is honestly depressing. Am I glad it's mooning? Yeah, no shit. But it's so large now that it's no longer an easy way to get rich. For instance, people estimate a top this cycle of around 100k, but that's less than a 4x up from here. Still fucking good compared to boomer investments, but still.

I couldn't even imaging being a newfag investor trying to cobble together one (1) bitcoin right now at close to 30k. That's more than most people take home in a year of wageslaving.

Then in early 2017 it was right when I finished gradschool. I lurked /biz/ and new about the cycles and how BTC was going to keep going up from there. But I was completely fucking broke. Couldn't afford to put anything in and take advantage. Oh well.

Interesting, I want to achieve exactly what you are talking about during this cycle. Question for you, I am assuming you have a six figure portfolio, how much percentage-wise are you going to let go of this cycle? What is your psychological level where you think "now is the time to start selling"?

This is the biggest question I ask myself as we progress past 30k BTC into the wilderness.

>growing urban city
"If this pandemic has taught us anything" it's that Dem politicians (who run ALL the "urban" areas) will pander to the poors and freeze rents and impose moratoriums and rape the landlord classes. Your real estate empire is declining in value as people flee cities for the safety of far suburbs and even the countryside, since their jobs are now going to remote work and they don't need to commute downtown daily. Those urban apartments are worth zero after they've been burned to the ground in a riot because the inner-city nogs can't find enough honkies to rob and beat up.

This was posted in a thread last night.

https://casebitcoin.com/story/capital-flows-into-btc-show-similarities-to-april-2017

If they're correct, we're still on track for a good eight months.

Also, I very much doubt we'll see a massive correction after that. Institutional buyers will be backing off when things get seriously bubbly, moderating the retail FOMO panic, and there won't be nearly as much selling pressure since shitcoin scams are a tiny fraction of the market compared to 2017.

2017 had BTC dominance at around 38%. That means 62% was shitcoin scams. This time less than 5% of the market is in DeFi scams and most of the shitcoins are already dead. We just aren't going to get the collateral damage to BTC that we saw in 2018 as everyone realized that "crypto" was a giant scam.

The last really huge one remaining is ETH, and if it implodes due to yet more of Vitalik's dumbassery, that money will flow into BTC. On the other hand, if ETH actually works out and takes off, you'll probably have time to reallocate some funds into it to ride that up.

I really don't think ETH will take off, though. Most of what uses it are Ponzi scams, and there's no useful purpose behind his "world computer" when you could just buy time on the Amazon AWS cloud instead.

Trump slowed H-1B labor imports, played hardball on H-2B visas, and got Mexico to halt the Soros-financed Central American "caravans" that were flooding illegals in.

That's why Silicon Valley was against him, because they suddenly had to start hiring American programmers again. That's why workers in entry-level jobs in construction could get jobs -- those jobs were no longer being filled by Guatemalan illegals. Which is why black unemployment hit its lowest levels on record. Which is why wages in construction were rising. Which is part of why the U.S. economy was booming so hard right up until the Dems decided to LOCK DOWN EVERYTHING so they could terrorize the population, force mail-in balloting, and steal the election, you stupid fucktard.

Seed phrases weren't a thing in 2012, you brainless noob.

And data recovery wasn't worth it until 2017. If the electronics die, the platter is still readable. If the drive is clicking, which he wrote is what happened to his, you're looking at a $5,000 charge just to try, with no guarantee that it is possible. And that's today's prices; they were much higher even five years ago. Might have been worth it during the MtGox peak bubble for about a month in 2013. I work in Real Estate and the mumblings around both the Residential and Commercial office is that this is something RE professionals are terrified of, and are trying to funnel funds to lobbying against it. Its real enough of a threat.

To parody the dollar btc will need to be 1,000,000 per bitcoin, because then a Satoshi would be worth a penny.

But I think it's possible
It will eventually reach 25 million per bitcoin within my lifetime because of inflation.

no id argue it has to do with more family offices and corporations putting bitcoin into their balance sheet. you have to remember these boomer businesses take 6months to a 1yr to execute on a desicion. So for example with mass mutual buying 100million btc they probably started the process this last year.

In the last few months small wallets have added 1.4 million BTC. Flows are going almost EXCLUSIVELY from whales to small wallets, not the other way around.

Big wallets are selling to the greater fools, and the public ledger proves it.
