I think I've spread myself too thin (6k across 16~ projects) and want to reconsolidate my alts into 5 solid choices. I'm not looking to expand my alt list, so choose the 5 best projects from the ones listed. I already have another 4k in BTC/ETH/LTC, so those shouldn't be considered.

As you rightly pointed out ADA has already done well all year. I don't think it will keep up that pace without a firm correction.
GRT I see it as holding a boomer ETF. It will slowly rise as usage rises. Occasionally when a new partner comes along that needs to buy a bunch it will experience a mini-pump, as which point the piranhas will immediately sell and bring the price right down to the .30 range. Remember current GRT users bought at 0.03, so it will take a fresh arrival to generate buyer pressure.

What are some good places to research crypto? Do you mean he should just learn about supply, market cap etc. and go based off that? Or look at the people and tech involved in the projects?
