in this case the deflation has a purpose beyond reducing the supply.... each deflationary event on the token causes the balancer pools to rebalance which causes the balancer to sell/buy wsta which causes a price difference in sta/wsta which gets bought and sold by bots/people trading the margin which causes the balancer to balance... you can see where this is going, theres a reason why the deflation exists and it only burns 1% of each transaction as opposed to starting with a low supply or burning a larger amount... the end goal isnt to reduce the supply necessarily although that does benefit long term holders, its to cause the ecosystem to feed into itself by constantly balancing/buying/selling to feed the balancer pools higher volume and higher APY as a result
