Sirs, let us discuss legitimate ways to avoid or minimise tax on crypto profits.

Note that CGT is currently 20% but is likely to be put up to 40% from March.

I have millions GBP in crypto. Every crypto-to-crypto trade is taxable if it represents a profit, but in practice it's only when cashing out that this will really come to anyone's attention, we'd hope. Unless HMRC are very good at tracking your wallets chain, starting from any that coinbase has ever touched.

I don't envy you man. You can't even open a bank account abroad without them reporting you to the IRS. You can't even renounce your citizenship and get away with it.
Still, fucking awesome country imo.

How many millions are we talking?
Several tens of millions?
Move to the British virgin Islands. ZERO tax on everything.
Retire there, and live off your wealth.

Buy some cheap property, and enjoy the island.

Low seven figures only. But a realistic chance of becoming 8 figures next year, I'd say.

I'd rather not have to move abroad, though that's the obvious solution. Is there some way to move assets to a ltd company... Or make it into a "fund" of some kind, of which I am the manager?

Fuck knows.

Yeah, grow your wealth to the 8 figures level if you want to live comfortably for the rest of your life.
Just putting 10 million in a boomer growth ETF like VUG:NYSE while being a resident of the BVI will make you at least 150,000 GBP a year.

You can take maybe a $100K out of it and play with crypto with it if you still like doing it. Grows your wealth while having a cushion of divi to live off.

>I'd rather not have to move abroad, though that's the obvious solution.
There are other solutions like >>25300037
But moving will also protect you from government dogs sniffing around. Ya know?
I am guessing you went through KYC as well to get access to exchanges, which is where your money is at.
Government can look into that at any moment.

KYC exchanges follow the Common Reporting Standard rules, which means on the 1st of January of every year they take a snapshot of your crypto, it gets sent to a data centre in Germany, and from there goes to the relevant tax authorities. i.e: Inland Revenue.

Not that simple.
Buying XMR from an exchange is traceable because that XMR wallet is linked to you, and if people can see you constantly make a transaction to the same XMR wallet outside of the exchange, it becomes obvious.

If you can swap your bag of crypto with XMR, then this can protect you.

If you cash out 100%, your capital gains will be the sum of the capital gains for each crypto-to-crypto trade.
