But that's why ETH is not a particularly good investment. When people invest in ICO's what happens to that ethereum once the ICO's are over? They dump it for either BTC or fiat. Look at what happened with block.one and EOS. They tanked ETH for like a year straight.

The fact that there's an infinite supply of Ethereum doesn't bode well for its long-term price either. The whole draw of Bitcoin is that it protects you from arbitrary inflation. On ethereum, the devs just get together and arbitrarily decide to increase or decrease the inflation rate.

ETH is an infinitely good investment because it and BTC are the only ones you know for sure will actually go up. All these other ICOs are basically you hoping that "supercomputer needful sirs" coin will go from 1 to 100 and won't be a rugpull or a pile of shit that gets sued to oblivion like XRP. BTC and ETH are proven and proven to go up, other stuff is unreliable and basically taking a shot in the dark and hoping for some gains. Established projects and knockoff projects like LTC and XMR will likely go up in BTC's wake, but all these "100x moonshot bro" ICOs are basically you hoping that you win the lottery.

I think LTC has a higher chance of going parabolic than ETH. It has a very predictable cycle and it's been around for much longer than ETH, with arguably more name recognition. I do think ETH will go up over the short-medium term, but I don't think it will do anymore 20x's like BTC and LTC will.
